Here are 5 mistakes to avoid before your senior session:

✨ Making a dramatic hair change right before your photos
✨ Trying a brand-new skincare product the week of your session
✨ Forgetting to drink plenty of water
✨ Wearing hair ties on your wrist that leave marks
✨ Stressing about posing

The good news? You don't have to figure it all out on your own.

My job is to guide you every step of the way so you can relax, have fun, and walk away with photos that actually feel like YOU. 💛

If you have a family visiting Oregon this summer and you have been back and forth about booking a session, this is me telling you to just do it.

Not in a pushy way. Just in a 'you will not regret this' way.

The coast is stunning right now. The mountain trails are gorgeous. The light lasts well into the evening, so we are not racing against the clock.

Weekends do fill up fast, so sooner is better than later. But if you message me and the calendar looks full, reach out anyway. I keep backup dates available and there may be more room than it looks like.

Come visit Oregon. Let's make some photos while you are here.

I just finished mini season (May is my busiest mini session month) and I thought I'd take a second to talk about session options.

Mini session or full session - here is a genuinely honest breakdown so you can figure out what your family actually needs.

Mini sessions are shorter and more budget-friendly. With over fifteen years of experience I can move efficiently and still give you a real variety of images. It is not a compromise, just a different format. If you want something meaningful without a big time or financial commitment, a mini is a great fit.

Full sessions give you more time for kids to warm up, more flexibility on location, more space for the session to breathe and really tell your family's story. It is a bigger investment, but it is also a bigger experience. If your kiddos are shy or you know you want a bigger variety, a full session may be a better fit.

Here’s the main point: if you want to actually be in the photos, hire a photographer.
So many families try to save money by doing it themselves or asking a friend with a nice camera. Then one parent ends up behind the lens the whole session. When you hire someone who knows what they are doing, the whole experience shifts. Kids settle in and parents can relax so you walk away with photos of your whole family together. That is what matters most.

Planning senior photos shouldn't feel like a part-time job. 😅

I've spent years answering the same questions from seniors and parents:

✨ When should I book?
✨ What should I wear?
✨ Where should I have my session?
✨ How do I know which location is right for me?

So I've been working on something behind the scenes that I'm really excited about...

It's designed to make planning senior photos way easier (and way less overwhelming).

That's all I'm saying for now. 👀

Stay tuned Wednesday.

Tried out a new location and I'm kind of in love with it.

🎉If you've never booked professional photos before, this is for you.🎉

Here is what the senior session process actually looks like when you work with me, start to finish.

1️⃣Step one is just reaching out. Fill out the contact form on my website (link in bio!) or DM me, tell me a little about your senior and the vibe you are going for. That is it. Easy start.

2️⃣Step two is locking in your date. A $200 retainer holds your time and goes directly toward whatever collection you choose.

3️⃣Step three is prep. I will send you a guide with everything you need to know - outfit tips, what to expect, how to get ready. And you can always message me with questions before your session.

4️⃣Step four is the session itself. This is the fun part. Most seniors come in a little nervous and leave saying how much fun they had. I guide you through everything - poses, locations, all of it. You do not need to know what to do. That is my job.

5️⃣Step five is your gallery, ready in two weeks. You will get a link, choose your images, and order prints or albums if you want them.

That is the whole thing. It is meant to feel easy because senior year is already busy enough.
