Mary Grace & Conner’s wedding at Southwind Plantation started with rain. The kind that makes you think it’s going to stay all day. Gray skies, soft drizzles… and somehow, the sweetest peace over everything.
I walked in, hugged Mary Grace while she was in the makeup chair, and instantly knew this day was going to be different.
Jessi and Demi… I have to stop and say it out loud. They were everything. Every step, every moment, even helping her into her dress. The kind of care you don’t forget.
While I was working on her flat lays, her mom Laura came and found me. She thanked me for being there, and I just remember thinking… no, thank you for letting me into something this sacred. We talked about Mary Grace and Conner, how safe they are with each other, how much peace surrounds them… and we both just cried.
And then Mary Grace brought me a gift.
A custom embroidered bag for my brand.
A handwritten card that I’ll keep forever.
I cried again.
We put her in her dress… cried again.
First look… personal vows… cried again.
The whole day was like that. Just wave after wave of the good kind of tears.
And then the ceremony…
Mary Grace starts walking down the aisle, and the moment she reaches the top step, the sun breaks through the clouds. Like it had been waiting all day.
Behind me, her grandmother Yvonne said, “isn’t God so good?”
I turned around and said, “yes He is.”
That became the phrase of the day.
Isn’t God good?
Because He was in every single part of it.
Mary Grace chose the most incredible team. Gabbie… truly one of the kindest hearts I’ve ever worked alongside. And again, Jessi and Demi… the way they protected and cared for MG & Conner all day long, it was beautiful to witness.
I am so proud to have been part of this day… a day that now becomes their history.
And I’ll never forget it.
