💔 William Henry Noble Claiborne’s family is facing a heartbreaking loss.

The devoted father, loving partner, and sole provider for his family passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind his wife, Selena, and their two young children, Azari, 16 months, and Sareli, just 4 months old.

As loved ones mourn Will’s passing, Selena is now facing the overwhelming challenge of caring for two babies while navigating life without the family’s primary source of income.

The family is seeking support to help cover funeral expenses, housing costs, transportation, childcare, and other essential needs during this difficult transition.

🔥❤️ Carl is being called a hero.

After an explosion and fire at his home, Carl suffered severe burns to nearly 30% of his body and was rushed to a specialized burn center in Plano for treatment.

His family says Carl ran back into the fire to protect his children and save the home that shelters the people he loves most. Even after suffering devastating injuries, his first question at the hospital was whether his grandchildren were okay.

đź’” Now, Carl faces a long road to recovery.

Along with medical expenses, the family is dealing with damage to their home and the many challenges that come with rebuilding after a tragedy.

Those closest to Carl say he has always put others before himself. Now they’re asking the community to rally around him as he focuses on healing.

Six-year-old son of Kylie Rexrode and Joseph Rexrode should be worried about summer break, playing with friends, and being a kid.

Instead, he is preparing for heart surgery.

The young boy was recently diagnosed with VSD, a congenital heart defect that will require a major operation. His parents say the news has been overwhelming, but they are focused on getting him the care he needs and helping him recover.

As they prepare for surgery, the family is facing the financial burden of medical bills, hospital stays, follow-up appointments, and recovery costs.

All funds raised will go directly toward expenses related to his surgery and care.

Kylie and Joseph are asking for prayers, support, and help as they navigate this difficult chapter and work to give their son the healthy future he deserves.

To ignore Juneteenth is to ignore a piece of American history.

To embrace it is to understand the stories of people like Emeline Miller, who was born free, kidnapped, and sold into slavery before finally learning she was free on June 19, 1865.

It’s remembering people like Wallace Turnage, who risked his life over and over trying to escape slavery because he believed freedom was worth any cost.

And it’s honoring the countless men, women, and children whose names have been lost to history but whose courage and resilience helped shape the Texas we know today.

On June 19, 1865, Union soldiers arrived in Galveston and announced that enslaved people in Texas were free. For many, it was the first time they had heard those words, even though freedom had been declared more than two years earlier.

Juneteenth is not about guilt.

It’s not about politics.

It’s about people.

It’s about understanding where we’ve been so we can better understand where we are.

And it’s about remembering that freedom is something worth celebrating for everyone.

Today, I choose to remember their stories.

Taylor died after an accidental drowning.

He was a third grader at Center Street School and someone his community says will be deeply missed.

Those who knew Taylor describe him as a kind soul. He was the kid who checked on others, asked how they were doing, and always tried to make someone’s day a little better.

Now his family, classmates, teachers, and community are mourning a little boy who touched so many lives.

They are asking for prayers and for Taylor’s story to be shared as a reminder of how quickly life can change around water.

đź’” Koby Alexander fought for 24 days.

After multiple miscarriages and years of hoping and praying for another child, Erika Del Moral and her husband Carlos thought they were finally bringing their rainbow baby home.

Instead, they spent nearly a month by his side in the NICU, celebrating every small victory and praying for one more day.

Born at just 23 weeks, Koby faced impossible odds from the moment he entered the world. But his family says he never stopped fighting.

Now, the South Texas family is facing every parent’s worst nightmare.

Instead of taking Koby home, they are planning his funeral.

Erika reached out because she wanted people to know about her son.

Looking at the photos, it’s easy to see just how loved he was.

“We were blessed with the short amount of time we had with him and will cherish every single moment with him forever,” she said.

Please say a prayer for Erika, Carlos, Koby’s big brother, and everyone who loved this little boy.

Sixteen-year-old Angel Garcia is facing the fight of his life.

In October 2025, Angel was diagnosed with hepatocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive form of liver cancer. He urgently needs surgery, but delays with insurance approval have left his family in a race against time. The operation is expected to cost $400,000, an amount far beyond what the family can afford on their own.

Despite everything he is facing, Angel remains focused on his dreams. He loves music and enjoys playing the guitar. He also hopes to continue his education, but his illness prevented him from finishing high school.

Time is critical. Every day that passes is another day Angel must wait for the life-saving surgery he desperately needs. His family is doing everything possible to get him the care he requires so he can recover and return to the things he loves most: playing guitar, continuing his studies, and simply being a teenager.

Angel's mother, Yanet Garcia, will oversee all funds raised and provide hospital documentation and receipts for full transparency.

Trooper Sergio Romero was only 27 years old.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says Romero was killed in the line of duty Wednesday afternoon in Childress County while attempting to stop a vehicle on U.S. 287. Investigators say a semi-truck pulled in front of his patrol unit, causing a crash that claimed his life.

Before joining DPS as a member of Class B-2025, Romero served his community with the Hall County Sheriff's Office. Those who knew him describe a man committed to serving others and protecting the people of Texas.

His death marks the loss of the 244th Texas Department of Public Safety officer killed in the line of duty since 1823.

Trooper Romero leaves behind his wife, Francisca, and their two young sons.

"Our hearts break alongside his family, friends, fellow troopers, and all who loved him," DPS Director Col. Freeman Martin said in a statement. "We will never forget the ultimate sacrifice he made in service of his fellow Texans."
