🤍 A small change going forward 🤍

With the newest AI developments and the growing concerns surrounding children’s images online, I’ve decided that I will be pixelating the faces of children in photos I share publicly. I will also be going through and deleting the ones I have posted now and replacing them with pixelated ones.

This doesn’t change the way I photograph your family or the images you receive in your gallery. I’ll still capture all of the sweet, genuine moments and details that make your session yours. This is simply an extra step I’m taking when sharing images on my photography page to help protect the privacy of the little ones I photograph.

I’m so grateful to every family who trusts me with their memories, and I want to do everything I can to honor that trust. 🤍

Here are 3 questions I suggest you ask before booking a photographer for your next shoot –

1) What type of editing style are you looking for in your final photos? Does the photographer you are interested in booking achieve this over and over again in the photos they show?

2) Do their photos make you feel something? Technical skill is important, but the emotional quality of the images — whether they feel warm or cold, alive or stiff — is what you're going to care about in ten years.

3) Do you feel connected or comfortable with this photographer? When you feel comfortable you are able to trust your photographer which always results in better photos!

I hope this helps, whether you end up booking with me or someone else. Finding the right fit is worth taking the time to figure out.

August is the month I start getting messages that go something like "I keep meaning to reach out but I keep putting it off" — and I get it, I really do. Life is full and booking a session is one of those things that's easy to kick down the road.

But here's what I know: the families who reach out in August are the ones who get the October dates that feel like a dream. The families who reach out in October are working with whatever's left, and whatever's left is usually midweek afternoons or wherever we can squeeze you in.
