This weekend filled my heart in ways I didn’t expect and was what I needed.
Winter Expo reminded me why I fell in love with this industry and having a community — the fellowship, the laughter, the conversations with people who just get it. Seeing familiar faces, hugging friends I only get to see once a year, and meeting new creatives… it’s something special.
I had the honor of receiving my 10-year pin with the Kansas Professional Photographers Association — and that moment meant more than I can put into words. A decade of growth and learning with KPPA.
And this year, I decided to go even further — I officially joined the junior board. I want to give back to the association that has helped me so much. It’s time to do my part.
The speakers and education they brought were incredible. But more than anything, I’m walking away with a fire lit inside of me.
2027 print competition work starts now.
I’m ready to push myself creatively.
To grow.
To represent my state well. Represent my business well. And to represent ME in the way I dream.
And yes… maybe even walk away with a few awards next Winter Expo.
If you’re one of my clients — just know, I’m always investing in becoming better for you.
Here’s to growth, community, and the next level.
Thank you to everyone at Kansas Professional Photographers Association and I cannot wait for the School and Fall(Summer) Expo!
