Yesterday, on May 21st, Malayalee organisations across Singapore came together to honour Mr. Y.S.V.S.R. Krishna, Attache (Passport) at the High Commission of India (HCI) in Singapore, as he concludes his remarkable tenure and prepares to return to India.

Mr. Krishna completely redefined public service with a profoundly human touch. Here is a look back at the incredible legacy and contributions he leaves behind:

24/7 COVID-19 Lifeline: Turned his personal space into a round-the-clock home office during the pandemic, handling critical repatriations, emergency visas, and urgent passport renewals when the community needed it most.

Empowering Essential & Migrant Workers: Broke down bureaucratic barriers by bringing passport renewals and legal help directly to migrant worker communities.

Support for 'Sakhi' FDWs: Organized specialized clarification sessions and seamless renewal programs for Foreign Domestic Workers under the Singapore Malayalee Association (SMA), bringing them dignity and peace of mind.

Bridge to Local Authorities: Collaborated closely with Singapore’s local authorities to actively advocate for and improve the welfare and working lifestyles of the Indian diaspora.

Accessible Diplomacy: Thrived under the visionary leadership of the HCI Ambassadors and team, creating an accessible, responsive, and compassionate interface for all.

Yesterday evening, Soorya (Singapore) had the distinct honor of hosting the legendary Padmashri Anup Jalota at the Victoria Concert Hall. It was more than just a concert; it was a journey through five decades of musical excellence.
