swimming in fresh water again was so nice 😮🌊.. spending time where I grew up, meeting friends and family, enjoying the beauty of switzerland ... 🫶🏻

3 weeks of teaching back in June.

It was so nice to be "live with the kids" again instead of remote tutoring ☀️🫶🏻

Normally, I mostly do small substitute teaching jobs when teachers are ill, etc., but this time, I ended up spending 3 weeks at the same place, which was really cool. They even had a 3D printer, which was quite fascinating and I was teaching mainly crafting (my favourite hihi)

In the last week, I went along on a class camp into the mountains, and I was so grateful for this opportunity 😍🗻. I loved being back in the mountains, and it was such a fun week with lots of great moments.
It felt so good to be around kids and other teachers again too, hihi 🤠

throwback to last summer when I enjoyed a little flower paradise back home 🌸🌼

I love the ocean and all the blue, but the contrast with all those colourful flowers around was so beautiful 🥹💐
And being able to grow and pick your own salad, beetroot, strawberries etc. 😍

It really motivated us to start a little garden on Peperoni next season too 🌶⛵️ just a little bit smaller 🤪

Anyone experiences with that sailing in the Med? 🙃🌊⛵️

Throwback to June 🌸
As soon as we arrived in Switzerland, we went straight to a wedding of good friends. We could borrow my brother’s cool van (yeeah), so we could sleep in it after the wedding 😊

It was such an amazing day 🥹❤️ I also got to use my hobby of making videos so they have a little movie to remember their special day hihi 🫶🏻

It was a day full of love (and flowers and plants! I mean, how beautiful, please?! 😍🌿🌸 a beautiful contrast from the always blue 🌊)

Throwback to when we handed over Peperoni to Lukas and his crew in June 🌶⛵️

But first, some fun (but also to-do-loaded) days together with them 🙃

Then off to Switzerland...

It felt so weird leaving the boat when you spend your entire time on it and it literally is your "everything"... But we knew it was in good hands 🫶🏻.
(Still, we felt like helicopter parents haha, always checking the location 🤓⛵️)

Sometimes we just have too many hobbies and want to do them all at the same time 😂

But they all require different equipment. For climbing, you need really short shoes, and for freediving, really long “shoes” 😂🤿

Freediving and exploring the underwater world is something we only discovered with this new life of living on a boat, and we both absolutely love it.

There's something so special about being underwater, feeling weightless and just so free 💙

What days sailing at an average of 1.5 knots (2.8 km/h) can look like ⛵️

When there are no waves, you still make progress, just slowly. But at the end of the day, you're somewhere new! 🤠 And while you're underway, you can still do pretty much anything: boat projects, computer work, crocheting, cooking...

Living on a sailboat means for us sailing everything possible and only using the engine when really needed 🌊 it's so much about adapting to the weather and wind with no fixed plans
