ہماری اولین ترجیح ایسوسی ایشن کی فوری رجسٹریشن؛ مسائل مل کر حل کریں گے ،مجوزہ چیئرمین ارسلان جاوید

اسلام آباد( پ ر ) ملک کی تاریخ میں پہلی بار "آل پاکستان کولڈ اسٹوریج کنونشن" آج اسلام آباد میں کامیابی سے منعقد ہوا۔ اس کنونشن میں ملک بھر سے کولڈ اسٹوریج مالکان اور اسٹیک ہولڈرز ایک ہی پلیٹ فارم پر جمع ہوئے۔

کنونشن کا بنیادی مقصد ڈائریکٹوریٹ جنرل آف ٹریڈ آرگنائزیشنز DGTO میں ایک متحدہ باڈی کی رجسٹریشن تھا۔ یہ باڈی پالیسی سازوں سے رابطے کے لیے ایک سرکاری پلیٹ فارم کے طور پر کام کرے گی اور کولڈ اسٹوریج انڈسٹری کو درپیش اہم چیلنجز کو اجاگر کرے گی۔ شرکا نے اس بات پر گہری تشویش کا اظہار کیا کہ پالیسی سازوں کے حالیہ فیصلے تازہ اور خراب ہونے والی اشیا کی برآمدی معیشت پر براہ راست اثر انداز ہو رہے ہیں۔ مقررین نے زور دیا کہ اس شعبے سے متعلق کوئی بھی پالیسی حتمی کرنے سے قبل صنعت کے اسٹیک ہولڈرز کو ضرور شامل کیا جائے۔

اس موقع پر خطاب کرتے ہوئے مجوزہ چیئرمین ارسلان جاوید نے کہا"ہماری فوری ترجیح DGTO میں تنظیم کی رجسٹریشن ہے۔ رجسٹریشن کے بعد ہم اس انڈسٹری کو اس کے سب سے مشکل دور سے نکالنے کے لیے کام کریں گے۔ کولڈ اسٹوریج کا شعبہ خوراک کے ضیاع کو روکنے، غذائی تحفظ کو یقینی بنانے اور پاکستان کی برآمدی معیشت کو سہارا دینے میں اہم کردار ادا کرتا ہے۔"_

کنونشن میں ملک بھر سے کولڈ اسٹوریج مالکان، برآمد کنندگان، کسانوں کے نمائندوں اور دیگر اہم اسٹیک ہولڈرز نے شرکت کی۔ شرکا نے متفقہ طور پر نئی باڈی کے قیام اور حکومت سے براہ راست مذاکرات کے لیے مشترکہ حکمت عملی اپنانے پر اتفاق کیا۔ کنونشن کے اختتام پر فیصلہ کیا گیا کہ نئی باڈی کے قیام کے فورا بعد حکومت کو اہم مسائل پر تجاویز پیش کی جائیں گی۔

کنونشن کے دوران نئی باڈی کی تشکیل کی تجویز بھی پیش کی گئی۔ مجوزہ قیادت میں ارسلان جاوید بطور چیئرمین، انیس الرحمان بطور سینئر وائس چیئرمین، ارشد حسین بطور پنجاب زونل چیئرمین، شاہد حسین سولنگی بطور سندھ زونل چیئرمین، احمد جمشید بطور کے پی کے زونل چیئرمین، ملک شکیل احمد بطور اسلام آباد زونل چیئرمین، وحید آغا بطور بلوچستان زونل چیئرمین اور وقاص شاہد بطور جنرل سیکرٹری شامل ہیں۔

Cold storage operators from across the country hold "All Pakistan Convention"
Announcement made regarding the formation of a nationwide association for cold storage operators; names of office-bearers also presented

Islamabad: July 18, 2026 — The first-ever All Pakistan Cold Storage Convention was successfully held in Islamabad , bringing together cold storage owners and stakeholders from across the country on a single platform for the first time in the industry’s history.The main agenda of the convention was to register a unified body with the Directorate General of Trade Organizations (DGTO).

This body will serve as an official platform to engage with policymakers and highlight the critical challenges currently facing the cold storage industry.Participants expressed serious concern that recent decisions by policymakers are directly impacting the export economy of fresh and perishable goods. Speakers emphasized that matters related to this sector must involve industry stakeholders before any policy is finalized.

Speaking on the occasion, the proposed Chairman, Mr. Arslan Javed, said:"Our immediate priority is to get the organization registered with DGTO. Once registered, we will work to help this industry survive through one of its toughest periods. The cold storage sector plays a vital role in preventing food waste, ensuring food security, and supporting Pakistan’s export economy."The convention was attended by cold storage owners, exporters, representatives of farmers, and other key stakeholders from across Pakistan.

Attendees unanimously agreed to form the new body and adopt a joint strategy for direct engagement with the government.At the conclusion of the convention, it was decided that upon formation, the new body will immediately submit proposals to the government on key issues.

A proposal for the formation of a new body was also presented during the convention. The proposed leadership includes Arslan Javed as Chairman, Anis ur Rehman as Senior Vice Chairman, Arshad Hussain as Punjab Zonal Chairman, Shahid Hussain Solangi as Sindh Zonal Chairman, Ahmed Jamshed as KPK Zonal Chairman, Malik Shakeel Ahmed as Islamabad Zonal Chairman, Wahid Agha as Balochistan Zonal Chairman, and Waqas Shahid as General Secretary.
