Definitely one of my favorite liveries from the summit. The minimalist design and clean lines give it such a classy and elegant look. ✨🔥

Must have been an incredible view for the VIPs on final. ✈️✨

Even better, I got lucky catching the daily EVA Air A330 patiently holding short as the Cambodian delegation made their grand entrance. ✈️

The delegation of the Federal Government of Malaysia arriving for the 48th ASEAN Summit, with commercial air traffic briefly put on hold to give way for the VIP movement. ✈️

I was also lucky enough to catch the aircraft’s evening departure at the end of the summit. ✨

48TH ASEAN SUMMIT 2026 SERIES: BRUNEI DARUSSALAM 🇧🇳✈️

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, and His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen arriving in style aboard the Queen of the Skies herself, the legendary “Flying Palace” Boeing 747-8, for the 48th ASEAN Summit. 👑✈️

While most delegates were flown in by their crews, Brunei’s royals quite literally piloted their own way to and from the summit. 👀✈️

Even more impressive, they also personally flew the aircraft back home a few days later.

For the record, this also marked the first visit of both the passenger and BBJ versions of the Boeing 747-8 at my home airport. A historic catch for local spotters. 🔥

My first time trying my hand at spotting Cathay Pacific’s early evening arrival.

With double daily flights to and from Hong Kong, and longer summer days, it’s now more possible to catch them in daylight or even that perfect golden hour glow.

Same iconic route, new lighting conditions… and it hits different. ✈️✨

GLOOMY MORNING, BUSY RAMP IN MACTAN 🌧️

TRYING OUT NIGHT SPOTTING 🌙✈️

Tried my hand at night photography and got rewarded with the evening PAL A330 arrival from Manila.

There’s just something about PAL’s iconic Sunriser tail at night. The way it glows and stands out against the darkness always hits differently...especially when seen with other international airlines or abroad!

Definitely one of the most beautiful tails to catch after sunset. ✈️✨

PAL A350-900 BACK IN CEBU ✈️

The Philippines’ first Airbus A350-900, the older sister of the A350-1000, paid Cebu another visit this April.

Always a welcome sight for Cebu spotters, especially seeing this widebody grace our home airport again.

Now we’re hoping to catch her sister RP-C3508, complete with the Love Bus sticker ❤️✈️✨
