Join us in remembering Dr. Erwin T. Lim on what would have been his 57th Birthday! ๐ค
You are a photography icon, and youโve left behind such a massive legacy. We are so endlessly proud of everything you achieved. You won so many awards over the years that if we tried to list them all, we'd literally need to write an entire book! You started photography at just 14 years old, and for over four decades, you chased that passion, walay paglubad! We will never, ever forget how you used to tell us, "Maluya ko if dili ko kashoot." You drew inspiration from everything around you, and your biggest hope was just to pass that love for the art down to the next generation. But most importantly, you taught us that being a top-notch, legendary photographer wasnโt about ego; it was about actually enjoying the journey and never taking yourself too seriously.
We loved you so much, Doc. And God, we miss you. We miss your smile, your loud laugh, the way youโd always tease us, we just miss absolutely everything about you. You werenโt just a pillar of the Images Camera Club of Cebu; you were our go-to mentor, our family, and our absolute biggest cheerleader. No matter how crazy busy your schedule got, you always, always found time to show up for us. You were always the first one to be proud and genuinely happy for us whenever we achieved something. You inspired us in ways you probably didn't even realize. You had the biggest heart, Doc, the most passionate, irreplaceable, and down-to-earth soul weโve ever known.
We still donโt know how or when weโll ever move on from this. You left us way too soon, and none of us were ready for it. There were still so many beautiful plans ahead for the club, and itโs painful knowing youโre no longer here to be part of them. We know for sure if you were still here right now, weโd be talking up a storm about it. Having you with us was a blessing we will always be grateful for. You will remain forever in our hearts.
Our beloved Erwin is never far from us, often visiting our thoughts and even our dreams. As we cherish these sweet, holy reminders of his presence, we ask you to join us in honoring his beautiful soul. Let us gather our hearts and minds to lift him up. Please offer a short prayer every now and then, wherever you are, for his soul's continued peace in God's heavenly kingdom. ๐๐ป If you can, please also offer mass intentions or a novena for him. We ask the Lord to grant him eternal rest and let His perpetual light shine upon him.
