There and back.

I love doing this type of work. I have always had a passion for architecture and design, now combine that with my obsession with mountains and its an all round win.

Seeing the views up at Te Anau Hilltop Hideaway was just what I needed. Instant calm. Did I really need to leave? 😆 I definitely hung around a little longer than required. This holiday retreat is flawless. Alissa and Chris have created something truly special here in the heart of Fiordland and they will be amazing hosts. Such a pleasure to work with you and your beautiful family, wishing you great success in this new venture.

If you're looking for some photos of your holiday rental, please reach out, I'd love to hear from you 🥂

I’ve been sitting on this one for a while now. I took this back in May when we reached McKinnon Pass on the Milford Track during a Wild Heart New Zealand community trip. This was my 3rd time walking Milford Track and each time I made it to the pass, I experienced vastly different weather.
I was blown away to see the most spectacular light this time. It felt a little like magic fairy dust had been sprinkled over this mystical mountain, it was framing the mountain so perfectly that it almost felt too good to be true. Maybe a part of me wondered if someone was watching over me at that moment in time ✨

I’ve been on a journey this year with photography, pushing myself out of the comfort zone. Trying new things and figuring out where my passions lie.

For this session, I knew I didn’t want to take mum and baby out of the home. I remember all too well just how stressful it was in those early weeks to exit the house, sometimes it took hours 🤯

I also love a documentary style of photography, so studios just aren’t my thing. But walking into unfamiliar settings is challenging when you rely so greatly on natural light.

Newborn photography is an art in itself. I have a lot to learn 😅 But this gorgeous little guy and his mum certainly made my work easier 🥰

This was an exciting project to be involved in! A gorgeous accomodation on the edge of Fiordland. Literally 360 degree views of the mountains surrounding Manapouri and the Takitumu’s 😍

All the bells and whistles and then some, this was a very unique luxury retreat to photograph. Tracey the host and creator of Maunga Tipu has thought of everything and spared no expense.

Have a look for yourself and tag a friend who has been talking about travelling to New Zealand’s South Island 😍

If you’re interested in having some photos taken of your Airbnb/accomodation business, reach out for a chat 💃

Experience luxury in Fiordland at Maunga Tipu, a retreat with panoramic mountain views, garden-to-table dining, sauna, and outdoor bath. Perfect for couples seeking tranquility.

Winter Solstice with Wildwood Sauna ✨

What a beautiful community we live in. A morning spent with strangers and friends was exactly what we needed.

Diving into the cold water we all felt a sense of aliveness. And warming back up in the sauna was like a big hug for the body and soul.

Thanks Johanna for bringing us all together to fill our cups and celebrate the winter solstice!✨🫶🏻

Winter Solstice with Wildwood ✨

When we moved to the edge of Fiordland 3 years ago we felt nervous about our first winter. Fast forward 2 winters and here we are diving into the cold water well into our 3rd. What a shift in mentality we have experienced!

Johanna from Wildwood Sauna is building something a little special here in Te Anau. A space well beyond warming your body, a space where people come together to feel alive. On Sunday I watched as strangers and friends joined in what felt like a celebration of sorts. It was one of those heart warming moments where community felt strong. So thank you Johanna for holding space for each of us to connect and reinvigorate 🫶🏻

✨The winter solstice occurs when either of Earth’s poles reaches its maximum tilt away from the Sun. The winter solstice is the day with the shortest period of daylight and longest night of the year, and when the Sun is at its lowest arc in the sky.

Some new website/social media photography for the beautiful and talented Clara from Manaaki Massage 🫶🏻

I booked a massage with Clara last week when I came off Mt Titiroa with a rather painful shoulder. A few days later I was on Milford Track for another few days in the hills. Clara definitely has the magic touch ✨ I’m looking forward to another magical massage today. If you’re in Te Anau/Manapouri I highly recommend you make a booking!

The days are cooling and the light is starting to dim. Autumn is in full swing here in the deep south of New Zealand.

We rugged up for this morning session, but the cold didn’t dampen anyone’s spirit 💫 Kids bring the best vibes, and this little one was full of energy and a whole lotta love for her mumma ♥️

If you’re looking for a reason to have some photos taken with the kids, Mother’s Day is just around the corner 🥰
