Recently I had the honour of photographing a very special boy during an end of life session after his family had received the heartbreaking news that he has cancer 💔

These moments are so emotional, but also so important. Our pets are family, and being able to capture the love, connection, and little details before goodbye means so much. I could truly see just how deeply loved he is by his family, and my heart goes out to them during this incredibly hard time ❤️😢

I built it all myself, which has been a big learning curve and definitely a work in progress, but I’m so proud of it. It’s a place where you can see more of my work, get a feel for what I offer, and start planning your own session with me. Thank you everyone for your kind words on my previous post, it honestly means so much 💙

Even though it's using ai, it definitely wasn’t simple to create or get right, and I wanted to take the time it deserved.
I’ve since spent a bit more time sitting with it, refining the details, and creating another version that reflects Māori culture more thoughtfully and respectfully.

This piece was created with a lot of care, aroha, and intention behind it, and I’m really grateful for the support and conversations it’s opened up. Thank you for taking the time to see it, feel it, and share your kind words 💕

I created this image using AI, but the meaning behind it comes from the heart 💙

I was inspired by the Patupaiarehe, the spiritual guardians who guided Mauao to where he rests today, and I imagined them also guiding the souls of those who were tragically lost in the Mount Maunganui landslide.

I pictured them being gently lifted from the whenua, guided with care and protection, not alone. The maunga holds their stories, and the tears falling from the rock represent the grief felt by their loved ones and our wider community.

Living here, this felt very close to home.
Creating this was my way of honouring those lives, and remembering them.

This piece is a tribute.

This shoot was something completely different for me, and honestly… I loved every minute of it 🤍

I had the pleasure of photographing a local salon recently and stepping into a whole new creative space. From the details, the movement, the behind-the-scenes magic, to the confidence and personality that comes with this industry, it pushed me out of my comfort zone in the best way.
I don’t always get to play with concepts like this, but it reminded me how much I love trying new things and telling stories in a different way. So grateful for the trust, the laughs, and the creative freedom.
Definitely one I’d do again ✨
