Family photos don’t stop being important once the kids get older.

The cuddles might look different. They might roll their eyes when Mum asks for a photo, stand a little taller than they did last year, and spend less time holding your hand.

But these seasons deserve to be remembered too.

The little arms around your neck become side hugs. And before you know it, they’re grown.

One day you’ll look back at these photos and realise they captured so much more than what everyone looked like.

This session was meant to happen much earlier, but between sickness and life we had to push it out a little bit.

At five weeks old, she was wide awake, full of expressions, and already showing so much of her little personality.

And honestly? I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Things I hear before almost every family session:

“Sorry… they’re a bit wild today.”
“I don’t think we’ll get one where everyone’s looking.”
“We’re a bit awkward in photos.”
“I just want one good one.”

And every single time…
the gallery says otherwise.

Because family photos were never meant to be about perfection.
They’re about personality. Connection. Movement. Real life.

And real life?
Is usually a little chaotic.

That’s what makes it beautiful.
