The camera got a bit of cool community action today,....
Started the morning with EPIC Youth Worker Ari and the awesome Inspire Youth Council crew dishing out stacks of pancakes and hot milos at EPIC's College Breakfast Club - What a great way for Rangatahi to start their school day!!

Followed by the Te Rongo o Whatumā Accord signing at the Whatumā Lake boatshed, Waipukurau, so good to see people gather to witness progress being made towards the focused vision of restoration and reconnection.
Signatories committing to support and collaboration with Dr Roger Maaka on behalf of e Rongo o Whatumā followed by representatives from HB Regional Council, Mayor Will from CHB District Council and DOC .

Awesome night photographing GOLD STAR celebrations hosted by the Waipukurau Fire Brigade, as they celebrated these three long-serving and dedicated fellas! (along with their wives!)
Medals, speeches, lots of laughter and a few heartfelt tears, all in the name of community. Congratulations Mark, Paul and Nigel

⭐️3 GOLD STARS AWARDED⭐️

What a fantastic night had last night celebrating the 25 years of service for these 3 local legends: Mark Bean ⭐️, Paul Shanks⭐️ and Nigel Hamilton⭐️.

Around 150 guests gathered at Back Paddock Lakes to honour the 75 years of combined service with the Waipukurau Fire Brigade.(A couple of years were served with the FENZ Waipawa Volunteer Fire Brigade)
Congratulations to 25 years of loyalty, friendships and community service.

Congratulations also to those that received other service honours last night. Your commitment is valued and cherished.

What a treat, this weekend's fabulous big family session took me out to one of CHB's hidden gems, Mangarara Eco Lodge - stunning place for a special whanau gathering. After we did photos, some of the boys paddled out and caught perch in the lake!! The bougainvillea on the big steps made the perfect setting for this beautiful portrait for the wall - would you choose a traditional framed fine art paper or canvas?

This week's was a really interesting restoration challenge- a memory-based visual reconstruction putting three seperate old family images together and creating a new printable portrait! Between Photoshop and AI software, we produced a memory matching image they love 🩷
