Yellow ducklings so cute you want them to stay small forever, baby blue rabbits vying for the most adorable title and the adults spreading out their massive physics in the sun. Cats and dogs sunning themselves in their favourite spots or when a cold southerly pours over the hill - demanding the fire to be put on. The banging of a hammer indicates another one of Angie's {endless} visions are underway or renovations to the animals palaces. Endless chores from daylight to dusk with music playing and the garden happily responding to the soft beats of the songs. The smell of freshly cut grass is divine and provides another composting ingredient. Learning art of gardening through trial and error with a good sense of humour, fun trips bunnings to fill the trolly with seedlings and tonics. Capturing amazing moments on camera and sharing them.

We often get asked if Flemish get along with other pets…….

Meet Henri, living his dream with his ‘extended’ family in Auckland, this just warms my heart 💝 no need for the fire on tonight !!

All of them except the Cavs - Gracie and Benjamin (doggies) and Henri (Weldonlea Flemish), have all been adopted. 🙏

There is an African Grey male called Gray, and female one called Lavender, an Indian Ringneck boy called Charlie, another pigeon named Picaso, two more black and white cats, Joey and Oscar.

Romeo is the black and white cat grooming Henri.
Eclectus is Dixie, Pigeon is Dakota.

The tabby cat in the dog bed is Bella. The other tabby cat is Conan.

So the answer in this case is big YES 🙌

This post is close to our heart and dedicated to a wonderful friend Jenny who passed away suddenly on Wednesday. 🥹

Jenny, who with her husband John created Pennylane Nursery in Nelson. Their home and garden so beautiful and welcoming, as they both were.

Many a visit we made, bringing home boxes of exquisite garden plants and a bit more knowledge each time, and in between many conversations with Jenny with all my questions.

Jenny was a beautiful soul, kind, caring and so genuine.
She was so in touch with people and nature and so passionate about helping people with their own garden.

We always treasure when our Pennylane plants are blooming and always send pics to Jenny and John to share the celebration.

We are so grateful to have met Jenny and John and our hearts are broken with her passing. 💔

Fondest memories last a life time and our garden we will treasure even more, I have no doubt Jenny will be amongst the flowers wherever she may be. 🌸

Enjoy some of our beauties thanks to Jenny and John.
