Auckland based Motorsport Photographer || Winner of the 2016 Motorsport Photographer of the Year, Presidents Award

Hi, I'm Steve Ritchie, a Motorsport Photographer based in Auckland, New Zealand. Since I was a pre-teen I had a passion for automobiles and motorsport. My introduction to motorsport occured when I started attending events at Pukekohe Park Speedway along with the CB club, who would assist with the marshalling. I would go along with my 35mm Pentax Automatic camera and several rolls of film. Now days we use digital cameras, and its all about megapixels! I consider myself very fortunate to have two passions which work hand in hand. I hope you enjoy browsing the following images through my lens.

🏁 **RALLY BAY OF PLENTY 2026 📸**

Another great day out behind the camera at this weekend's Rally Bay of Plenty!

Plenty of dust, flying gravel, sideways action and some spectacular water crossings made for an entertaining day of rallying! 🚗💨

Here's just a small selection of the action from the weekend, with plenty more photos still to come.

📸 **Drivers & crews:** If you're looking for photos of your car, flick me a message with your car number and I'll see what I've got!

🏁 RALLY BAY OF PLENTY — HERE WE COME! 📸

I'll be heading down to the Bay of Plenty this weekend to photograph the action at Rally Bay of Plenty 2026!

Looking forward to another day of flying gravel, sideways action and hopefully a few spectacular moments caught on camera! 🚗💨

📸 DRIVERS & CO-DRIVERS: If you're competing and would like some photos of your car, flick me a message with your car number. I'll do my best to keep an eye out for you throughout the event.

I'll be sharing some highlights afterwards, with photos available to purchase through my website.

Motorsport isn't the only thing I enjoy taking snaps of. While the two C17 Globemaster's have been flying in and out of Whenuapai Airbase I have spent some time out there. Here are a few of my pics.
