The speeches from yesterday's School Strike for Climate from our rangatahi were so fierce they made me tremble. They are determined and unstoppable. We just need those with the power to change things to actually listen and act.

This generation's Bastion Point is happening right now at Ihumātao. Kaitiaki are currently standing strong to protect the land from being bulldozed but they need more support.

Head to Save Our Unique Landscape campaign - SOUL for updates on how you can help.

___________

Ihumātao is one of the last remnants of the archaeologically rich stonefields landscape across Auckland, it holds the stories of the earliest inhabitants of our country.

It is where the land and stone walls were used by mana whenua to grow new crops for the Auckland markets prior to 1863.

For mana whenua, this place embodies sources of identity and wellbeing as well as family, community, and tribal relationships.

Yesterday, the police served eviction notices to the kaitiaki because the site is due to be developed by Fletcher Building.

Currently, the ahi kā are singing songs and protesting peacefully.

Haven't posted for a while but everyone needs to get down to Northcote Town Centre and check out this larger than life claw machine that's taken over one of the empty shops. The Claw is designed by some awesome local artists in collaboration with Satellites and free to play!

Such a delight, on until the end of the week.

Pretty stoked with these images from the shoot with Prayas last week for their upcoming show, Swabhoomi: Borrowed Earth. The show maps out the history of Indians in New Zealand from the gold rush all the way to now.

Took some photos of the ultra-talented and creative Miss Changy for Viva - The New Zealand Herald. Her pop up breakfast events kick off tomorrow morning in Otāhuhu - check out Satellites for more info. 🍞🍵

Forget a soggy bowl of cereal or peanut butter on toast and revolutionise your approach to the first meal of the day with Auckland Council's new breakfast series which kicks off on April 29. As part of the council's Satellites programme, Asian artists from around the world will present their take on...

Excited to announce I'm delving into the film world and will be directing this short documentary, East Meets East, next month as part of this year's Loading Docs. The film follows a group of Chinese seniors who regularly bus together to Asian supermarkets, and the sense of community they have formed in East Auckland.

We are currently trying to raise $4000 to make the film so I'd love it if you could support the project by sharing or donating here: https://www.boosted.org.nz/projects/east-meets-east
