There’s something special about receiving a handwritten card.

Not because it’s expensive.
Not because it’s extravagant.

But because someone took the time to choose it, write inside it, and let you know they were thinking of you.

That’s exactly why I created my Fine Art Greeting Cards.

Each one features one of my original photographs—from quiet mountain landscapes to rural life and the places that make New Zealand feel like home. They’re blank inside, giving you the space to write your own message, while the photograph becomes something worth keeping long after the occasion has passed.

I love the idea that instead of ending up in the recycling, these cards might find a place on a shelf, be tucked into a keepsake box, or even framed.

Because sometimes the card deserves to be just as meaningful as the words inside it. 🤎

If you’ve been looking for something a little more personal to send with your next gift, they’re now available on my website.

Winter has definitely started making itself known over the past week here in Canterbury. 🤍

The mornings are colder, the air feels crisper, and the Southern Alps have disappeared beneath a fresh blanket of snow once again.

There’s something about seeing the mountains like this that never gets old. Every season they tell a different story, but winter has a way of slowing everything down and making you stop to admire them a little longer.

As much as I love the warmth of summer, I always look forward to this time of year. The soft winter light, the snow-covered peaks, and those quiet moments where the landscape feels completely still.

It’s a beautiful reminder of just how lucky we are to call this place home. 🏔️🤍

We are moving! 🤎

Just wanted to let everyone know that we aren’t going far but orders and enquires might be a bit slower while we move into our new place but they will still be getting processed! Thank you for understanding and your patience over the next week and after we will be back to normal!

☀️ From a bull sale in the snow to a bull sale in the sunshine.

What a difference a year makes.

Last year, Mt Possession Angus held their sale in snowy conditions that many will still remember. This year, it was blue skies, warm temperatures, and plenty of sunshine for both the bulls and the crowd.

The atmosphere reflected the confidence currently sitting within the beef industry, with a full clearance achieved and strong competition throughout the catalogue.

All bulls sold, 26/26, averaging $12,693, and top price for Lot 1 selling at $26,000.

It’s no secret that quality Angus bulls are in demand right now. Bull values continue to make headlines across New Zealand, with the national record being broken twice within the space of a week and now sitting at an incredible $220,000.

It was fantastic to see such strong support for the Mt Possession Angus programme and to spend the day capturing another successful sale.

Congratulations to the team at Mt Possession Angus and to all the successful purchasers. 👏

Were you at the sale this year? I’d love to hear your thoughts on the market and where you think bull prices are heading. 👇

Some photoshoots stay with you long after you’ve packed the camera away 🤎

Earlier this year, I spent two incredible days photographing Hampden Cabin with Hanna and Callum, and it quickly became one of those places I didn’t want to leave.

Tucked amongst native bush and surrounded by birdsong, Hampden Cabin feels like a little piece of paradise for anyone who loves escaping into nature. From peaceful bush walks and abundant wildlife to unwinding in the sauna after a day outdoors, every detail has been thoughtfully created to help guests slow down and reconnect with the world around them.

As photographers, we often talk about telling a story through images, and this was one of those projects where the story almost told itself. The scenery was stunning, the atmosphere was peaceful, and the people involved made every moment enjoyable.

One of the things I loved most about these shoots was seeing the passion Hanna and Callum have poured into creating something truly special. It’s not just accommodation—it’s an experience. A chance to step away from the noise and spend a few days surrounded by nature.

I honestly had so much fun capturing this place, from wandering through the bush with a camera in hand to photographing the little details that make Hampden Cabin what it is.

Thank you, Hanna and Callum, for trusting me to help tell your story. It was an absolute privilege. 🤎

Have you ever stayed somewhere that made you feel completely switched off from the outside world? I’d love to hear about it below. 👇

The kind of feedback that never gets old 🤎

Earlier this year, I had the privilege of spending time with Callum and Hanna, photographing their beautiful farm stay accommodation nestled amongst native bush and surrounded by the kind of peace that makes you instantly slow down.

Over two separate sessions, we captured not only the cabin itself but the atmosphere that makes this place so special—the connection to nature, the quiet moments, and the experience guests can expect when they stay.

Working with genuinely lovely people who are passionate about what they’ve created makes my job incredibly rewarding. Being trusted to tell the story of someone’s business through imagery is something I never take for granted.

Receiving messages like this afterwards reminds me exactly why I love what I do. 🤎

“She took some awesome photos that were spot on to the brief and was easy to work with.”

Thank you, Callum and Hanna, for having me along to capture your incredible slice of paradise.

If you’re a rural business, farm stay, accommodation provider, or tourism operator looking to refresh your imagery before the busy season, I’d love to help tell your story too.

📸 What’s the most beautiful accommodation you’ve stayed at in New Zealand? I’d love to hear below 👇

🤎 A moment that almost didn’t happen.

This image was captured during an unexpected stop at the Bealey Bridge while waiting for a tyre to be changed on the journey home. What started as a simple roadside pause turned into one of those moments that quietly asks you to stop and look.

The mountains were wrapped in mist, the riverbed sat still beneath the bridge, and soft shafts of light filtered through the cloud and fog. It wasn’t the landscape itself that caught my eye—it was the way the light danced through the mountains, creating a feeling that photographs can never quite explain but somehow still manage to hold.

It’s moments like these that remind me why I always carry a camera. Sometimes the most memorable images aren’t planned at all.

The Bealey Bridge has connected Canterbury and the West Coast since the 1930s, carrying travellers through the heart of Arthur’s Pass and across the upper Waimakariri Valley. For generations, people have crossed this landscape, but the mountains remain unchanged—quiet, powerful, and endlessly beautiful.

“Misty Mountains at The Bealey Bridge” is now available as a fine art print in my collection.

A reminder that sometimes the best part of the journey is the unexpected stop along the way. 🤎
