So tonight, that changes.

Introducing Unframed Prints — inkjet lustre photographic prints, captured and printed right here in New Zealand. Same Wh**ky Creek images you love, just without the framing cost.

Second-hand frame, something from Kmart, or straight on the wall as is — however you display it, it’s yours to make your own. You don’t need a $500 frame to make a print beautiful.

Unframed Prints Are Almost Here! 🤎

What a whirlwind the past few weeks have been! Lambing and calving in full swing, tidying up some commercial agri-business photoshoots, and putting together digital image galleries for places wanting authentic rural images for calendars in 2027 (you might see the odd image floating around for a month of 2027 😉)

But that hasn’t meant that the new products have been pushed aside - the posting might have slowed (sorry team the social media manager has been bloody useless lately!) but I am super excited to share the new unframed print products with you all and also adding in some other new images that haven’t not yet been available yet (also because the website lady has not got around to it yet 🫣)

But mark your calendars because this Sunday - 7:00pm the Unframed Prints are coming to the website and will be here to stay! Just in time for daylight savings and the longer days ahead with summer just around the corner, now is the time to give the house a refresh with a new image to brighten and freshen up that room you keep talking about redoing.

Can’t wait to launch on Sunday and there are still a few selected images that are on sale so make sure to check them out before the sales ends!

Unframed Prints - Coming Soon! 🤎

After releasing some of my ex show unframed prints I have had so many messages about if these will be a permanent feature on the website - no you’ve all said so I am definitely listening!

I will be adding my unframed prints permanently to my website on Sunday 29th September at 7:00pm 🤎

I will also be adding in a few other images that haven’t yet hit the website too so make sure to stay tuned and mark it in your calendar!

I love these as an option for people to be able to get a part of rural New Zealand in their homes at a more affordable price without paying for the professional framing you can grab yourself some stunning frames at the Op Shop, The Warehouse, Kmart and even more places at a fraction of the cost of a professional frame.

There are still limited numbers of the ex show stock prints available on my website but they are selling out fast and we are onto the final numbers left (they are also on sale - so grab a bargain before the prices go up when the rest are released!)

Thank you to everyone for the messages and support and I cannot wait to release these so everyone can afford a print to have hanging in their home 🤎

Shearing Images of 2026 🤎

I love getting back in the woolshed when I can, so a spare day in the weekend meant loading up my camera gear and hitting the road into the high country!

Watching the shearer’s do their job and the rouseys throwing the fleeces and combing through the wool to pull of any imperfections on the fleeces at such a high speed always amazes me - I certainly would take 10 times the amount of time it takes them to do it!

When you see the beginning of such a beautiful product makes you appreciate it all that much more when you know the amount of time and care it has taken to produce something natural and versatile. Seeing that woollen products are becoming more popular again is great to see, from the fine wool for clothing to the cross bred wool being used in carpets, insulation and so much more.

If it wasn’t for the people behind the scenes in the shed doing the hard yards, from the farmers year round looking after their stock, to the shearing crews, the farm supplies stores providing all of the essentials from wool packs to bale clips, and the wool distributors, this time of year wouldn’t be possible.

I remember running around the shed when I was younger watching the shearer’s, being told off for playing on the bales and seeing the ewes making their way in and out after a long journey back to the yards to have their hair cut 🤎

You don’t need a special occasion to have your life photographed 🤎

That’s the whole idea behind my rural lifestyle sessions. No forced smiles, no dressing up unless you want to (we do love a good dress-up though) — just you, your people, and your animals, doing what you already do.

The dog getting the zoomies. The kids running wild in the background. Your hand on the horse’s nose before you catch him.

Those small moments add up to the big stuff. And they deserve a spot on your wall just as much as any “special occasion” ever will.

I’m currently taking spring bookings, but I only take a small number each month — so if you want your rural life captured just as it is, flick me a message, email, or give me a buzz.

Behind The Print: String of Ewes 🐑🐑🐑🐑

I captured this image back home up the Ashburton Gorge, where I spotted the ewes behind Lake Camp, of course I said to my partner driving that we needed to stop so I could jump out camera in hand to get a shot of the girls lined up making their way across the block.

I love this image as I have always been mesmerised by the way the ewes make their way across the paddocks single file behind each other.

I can sit and watch them for hours; it also brings me back to my days working on stations mustering the ewes back home for shearing or scanning time and seeing them leading out of the back of the hills down to the gateway.

This is one of those images that I knew I wanted to offer as a print and not keep on my hard drive so that others could enjoy watching the “String of Ewes” moving across the landscape.
