When the toys start piling up at the office door, you just know someone is ready for PLAY… and that bedtime antics are about to begin! 🐾😂

Last night, I’d been asleep for about an hour when my mum was treated to my very own serenade. There I was, standing proudly at the end of her bed, singing my heart out while jumping up and down with Pinky — one of my favourite toys. 🎶🐷

So… Mum let me outside.

Did I go for a lovely little sniff of the crisp night air?

Nope.

I ran straight back inside at full steam and snuggled right back up with her. 😂❤️

Who knows what that was all about?

Maybe I just needed some fresh air before bed… or perhaps I was secretly reminding Mum:

“You didn’t take me on your after-dark stroll, so I’m just making sure you don’t leave me home alone again!” 😜🐶

Honestly, these humans need constant reminding of the important things in life. Walks. Snuggles. Toys. Repeat. 🐾❤️

One of the projects closest to my heart is volunteering my time to create portraits for the wonderful residents living in the Seasons of Life at

Each month we dream up a new theme, and this month’s adventure was Winter Wonderland… complete with snow indoors! ❄️✨

There is something incredibly special about watching faces light up as imagination, memories, laughter, and a little bit of magic come together in front of the camera. These sessions are about so much more than photographs—they’re about celebrating life stories, preserving dignity, creating joy, and reminding every person that they are seen and valued.

I can’t wait to share the final portraits and the magic we created together.

It’s only 9.15am on a Monday, and the first boutique wedding consultation of the week is already wrapped up.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting a lovely couple who call the foothills of Mt Hutt home. Their vision for their wedding was beautifully simple — focused on meaning, connection, and the people who matter most.

If you’re a mature couple who values intention over fanfare, we might just be the perfect fit. I believe your wedding day isn’t about trends or ticking boxes; it’s about celebrating your story, your love, and the beginning of a new chapter together.

My role is to quietly capture the moments that matter most — the laughter, the tears, the glances, the promises, and the people who have helped shape your journey.

Because at the heart of every wedding is a love story worth remembering.

Who says you need a studio for beautiful professional portraits?

One of my favourite tricks is using simple outdoor locations with natural textures and clean backgrounds. A plain wall, interesting concrete, or subtle architectural detail can add depth and variety without distracting from the people in the image.

The real magic happens with light.

For this team portrait session, I used studio lighting outdoors to create that soft, glowing complexion we all love. Then I added a second light with an orange gel and honeycomb grid to mimic the warm kiss of sunlight, carefully placing it so it only touched the edges of their hair and shoulders.

These little touches create separation, depth, and dimension, transforming a simple portrait into something that feels polished, professional, and full of life.
