✨ Exciting news from overnight! ✨

I’m incredibly happy to share that two of my aerial photographs have received an Honourable Mention in the 2026 International Photography Awards (IPA) — one of the major international photography competitions, bringing together photographers from all around the world.

“Aquatic Tapestry”
“Gilded Feathers”

Both images had previously advanced to the Official Selection and final round of judging, so receiving an Honourable Mention is a very special result for me.

I’m especially proud of these two aerial images, and it’s wonderful to see them recognised on an international stage. ❤️

Thank you International Photography Awards

What an incredible three days at Hamilton Island Race Week! ⛵️🌊

Last Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Marcel and I had the privilege of joining the professional crew aboard the stunning Maritimo 100 — a beautiful, classy 100-foot sailing yacht owned by Maritimo, the Australian boat builders.

Being right in the middle of the racing was an exhilarating experience we will never forget! We met some wonderful people, enjoyed an amazing few days on the water, and I was lucky enough to capture plenty of photographs along the way. 📸

And what a bonus to finish it all at the awards night, celebrating the Maritimo 100 taking out 🥇 first place in their category!

A truly unforgettable Hamilton Island Race Week experience. ❤️⛵️

Thank you Maritimo!!!

“ RIVERS OF THE NORTH “

This collection of my aerial photographs explores the rivers of Australia’s north — from the tropical Top End and Northern Territory to the vast landscapes of Outback Queensland and Western Australia.

Seen from above, these rivers reveal two very different worlds. Some images capture majestic, sweeping views where waterways wind through endless wilderness, while others bring us close to the intricate patterns, colours and textures created by water moving through the landscape.

From lush tropical environments to the stark beauty of the desert, each photograph tells a story of movement, life and the powerful connection between water and the Australian landscape.

Together, the images offer a unique and not often seen from above aerial perspective on some of Australia’s most remote and spectacular rivers.
Enjoy 💚

✨ Silver Award! 🥈

I’m so excited and honoured that “Gilded Feathers” has received a Silver Award and the image “Arboreal Echo”received a highly commended in the Australian Photographic Prize 2026.

It’s been a very busy year for us,and I haven’t had the opportunity to go flying and photograph as much as I would have liked. So I’m especially happy to still see my work recognised with an award. ❤️

Congratulations to all the other talented photographers and aerial artists who received awards — it’s an honour to be amongst you! 📸✨

A little trip down memory lane… ❤️

This beautiful close-up of our daughter on her wedding day, captured behind her veil, brings back so many wonderful memories.

Long before I discovered my love for aerial photography, I spent many years behind the camera photographing people. It’s lovely to look back at some of those old images and remember just how much I enjoyed portrait photography.

Some photographs really do become precious memories.

🥰 I'm incredibly proud and excited to share that two of my aerial photographs, Gilded Feathers and Aquatic Tapestry, have been named Official Selections in the International Photography Awards 2026 and have advanced to the final round of judging.

To have my work recognised on the international stage alongside photographers from around the world is an honour I’m truly grateful for.

The final judging will take place in the last week of August. Whatever the outcome, I’m thankful that these images have already come this far.
Good luck to all the finalists 🍀

Fingers crossed! 🤞✨

A wonderful day spent exploring the beautiful province of Friesland in the Netherlands yesterday.

As a special bonus, we watched the final races of the Skûtsjesilen 2026 SKS skûtsjesilen in Stavoren followed by the return of these magnificent historic sailing boats into the harbour and welcomed home by the crowds.
A perfect day enjoying the beauty, traditions, and maritime heritage of the Netherlands. ⛵❤️
