FESTIVAL WEEK 🎈🏫

This weekend, we’re heading to Sint-Niklaas, Belgium, for the spectacular Vredefeesten, taking place from September 4th to 6th! 🇧🇪

From the iconic Grote Markt in the heart of Sint-Niklaas, dozens of hot air balloons will take to the skies, creating an incredible spectacle above the city. ✨

And of course, there will be plenty of special shapes to admire, including spectacular balloons such as Bobo the Lobster 🦞, Van Gogh 🎨, and the extremely rare HEAD Balloon! 👤🎈

A weekend full of balloons, special shapes and an amazing atmosphere. Will you be there?🤩

The live tracking shows us that all teams are on the ground. That means SUI-2 with Balthasar Wicki & René Erni are te (un)official WINNER🏆! With 1555.18 KM. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

GORDON BENNETT UPDATE:

THE GAME IS STILL ON! 🤯

Around 8 teams are now making their way through the famous Suwalki Gap, just 60 kilometres wide, with forbidden territory on both sides. A huge challenge, requiring incredible precision and skill to manoeuvre through this narrow corridor.

🇨🇭 Swiss-2 is currently leading the race and has already reached Latvia. But, as we know so well in the Gordon Bennett, this means absolutely nothing yet!

Could the decisive moves come today? 👀

Once again, what an incredible race. Looking forward to the latest Gordon Bennett TV show around 11:00 AM. 🌬

Take Off Time Coupe Aéronautique Gordon Bennett.

After the preparations, the first gas balloon was able to take off at 1:30 AM. Swiss 2 opened the race, and just over an hour later, all teams were underway.

As we speak, almost all teams are heading towards Poland. Except for Swiss 2, who seem to have a different strategy and are heading north instead. The coming hours are going to be exciting!
