When their eyes met, they just knew… this is my person. 🤍

Their love story began far away from home, overseas, while both working aboard a luxury cruise boat. Somewhere between ocean horizons, long working days and life at sea, two paths crossed… and something beautiful began.

Now, husband-to-be & wife-to-be. 💍

What an absolute breeze it was spending time with this beautiful couple. No forced moments, no pretending... just genuine laughter, connection, love and those little in-between moments that tell the real story.

This is exactly what I love about engagement sessions: capturing you, as you are, and preserving this incredibly special chapter before “I do.”

May this be only the beginning of a lifetime of adventures together. 🤍

Photography is so much more than simply taking a beautiful photograph. 🤍

It is about family.
Connection.
Generations.
Little moments that one day become priceless memories.

There is something incredibly special about watching parents become Oupa and Ouma...seeing the pride in their eyes as they hold a little piece of the next generation. A tiny hand, a gentle cuddle, a quiet smile… moments that may seem so ordinary today, but will mean everything one day.

Never take these moments for granted.

Not everyone gets the privilege of having their parents beside them as their family grows.

Not every child gets to know the love of an Oupa and Ouma.

And that is exactly why these seemingly little moments deserve to be appreciated, celebrated and preserved.

Take the photograph.

Hold them a little longer.

Let Oupa cuddle that baby.

Let Ouma soak up every second.

Capture the laughter, the wrinkles, the hands and the love.

Because one day, a photograph may be all that remains of a moment we once thought would last forever. 🤍

This is why I love photography,

I am not simply capturing what a family looks like today.

I'm preserving a piece of their story for the generations still to come.

There are some prayers we whisper for days… and others we carry in our hearts for years. 🤍

And then, in God’s perfect timing, He answers.

Beautiful baby boy, you are so loved. You are so treasured. You are the answer to so many prayers. 🕊️

What a privilege to capture this beautiful bond between a mommy and the little miracle she waited and prayed for. These tiny hands, peaceful moments and overwhelming love will one day become some of the most precious memories of all.

Newborn photography is about so much more than creating a beautiful photograph.

It is about preserving the details that change far too quickly,
the little face you could stare at forever,
the tiny hands,
and that incredible feeling of finally holding the baby you have waited for. 🌿

One day, this little one will no longer fit so perfectly into this basket… but this moment will remain forever. ✨

Because they are only this little once. 🤍

✨️17 years in the making… and really, a lifetime before that. 📷🤍

I absolutely love what I do.

Long before Shalom Photography became my career, I was just a little girl who loved photography, never imagining that one day I would be blessed enough to call it my profession.

Seventeen years later, I am still here.

Still learning. Still creating. Still working incredibly hard.
Still putting a piece of my heart into every story I photograph.

But there are days when I feel like giving up...

Because sometimes people see photography as “just a click.”

Something easy.

Something that should be cheap.

But what you see is only a fraction of what happens behind the scenes.

You don’t see the years of experience.

The equipment.

The planning.

The travelling.

The communication.

The long hours selecting and carefully editing every image.

The late nights behind a computer.

The pressure of knowing that some moments happen only once ...😵 and that I have been trusted to preserve them forever.

Yes, unfortunately there are scammers and dishonest people in this world, in every industry.

But please don’t let that make you judge those who are truthful,
humble,
hardworking
and genuinely
doing their very best for their clients.

When you choose a photographer,
you are not simply paying someone to press a button.

You are trusting someone with a piece of your life.

A wedding day.

A newborn baby who will never be that tiny again.

Your children before they grow another year older.

Your parents and grandparents while you can still hold them close.

Your family, exactly as you are in this season of life.

And years from now, those photographs may mean far more to you than they did on the day they were taken.

That is why I keep going.

Because after all these years, I still believe photographs matter.

Memories matter.
People matter.

And I am incredibly grateful that this little girl’s love for photography became Shalom Photography. 🤍📷
