That last photo? That’s her.
Free. Full of warmth. The kind of person who’s thinking about everyone else even on her own wedding day.
Rhyn didn’t just plan her wedding, she made it. She embroidered her dress by hand, created the reception decor herself, brought lace runners for every table, and designed a custom hand accessory for her bridal look. She handpicked a personal gift for each one of her bridesmaids. And because that still wasn’t enough, she made sure every single guest left with a personalized luggage tag, each one with their name on it. Ours too.
That’s not a bride preparing for a party. That’s an artist building a world for the people she loves.
The day had everything, quiet emotional moments with her son, and a video from her mom who couldn’t be there in person but refused to miss it entirely. She laughed and cried at the same time watching it and honestly, it moved everyone in the room. Then there was the champagne tower that had very different plans for the evening. Through all of it she was present. Feeling everything, missing nothing, and more than once, the one behind the camera herself.
You don’t build a wedding like this. You pour yourself into it.
And that’s exactly what she did.

From the getting ready you could already tell the vibe — friends all over the place, everyone trying to get a photo of the couple before I could.
Cloudy skies, cocktail hour moved because of the rain, and rock music all night long. That was this wedding, and honestly it couldn’t have been more them.
These two were in the best mood all day no matter what, and it was contagious. The dance floor never stopped.
And honestly? Those phones in the air during the ceremony — I love that. Every single person there wanted to hold onto this moment. Guest photos and mine tell the same story from different eyes, and that’s something really special.

Hannah and James came all the way from Louisiana, not with a big crowd, but with exactly the right people. Few guests, full presence. Just like the colors they chose: black and white. Nothing extra, nothing missing. Just the purest version of what matters.
There’s an elegance in that kind of simplicity, in a room where everyone belongs, in a palette that doesn’t need to explain itself, in a love that’s been quietly building for three years and finally gets to be seen.
The day gave me so many moments to hold onto, bridesmaids never leaving Hannah’s side, her father waiting for her in the closet in the most tender and slightly chaotic way, the perfect light that found us at just the right time, the quiet simplicity of her shoes.
But the image I keep coming back to is one I created myself. A broken glass. I placed their rings inside it, and something about that felt true, because sometimes beauty isn’t in the perfect things. It lives in what breaks and still holds what matters most: Love

Two people who had been orbiting each other for years through shared friends, finally colliding in the most unexpected way. And from that moment, everything moved with the kind of certainty that only comes when something feels exactly right. Morocco. Montreal. Sayulita. Thailand. And back to Mexico, where it was always meant to end up.
The day unfolded slowly, the way beautiful things do. A grandmother reaching for the bride’s hand and holding it just a little longer than usual. Mothers wiping tears they didn’t try to hide. Friends stealing glances at each other as if to say: do you see this too?
Then during cocktail hour, something unplanned happened. The music played and one by one, without anyone organizing it, the guests started dancing around the couple. Spontaneous, joyful, completely unrehearsed, one of those moments that nobody planned but everyone will remember.
That’s the kind of wedding this was not loud, not flashy. Just deeply, completely full of love.
Stefania & Kevin, thank you for letting me be there. 🤍

Seven years of choosing each other, and somehow, this day still felt like a first.
There’s something about a couple who already knows each other so deeply — the way they look at each other isn’t nervous, it’s certain. Soft. Full. Mike’s tears during the vows said everything words couldn’t.
The whole day carried that same feeling. Warm, unhurried, and completely theirs.
Brittany and Mike, thank you for letting me into one of the most beautiful chapters of your story. 🤍

Nena and Billy live in Chicago, but their story began in Florida, where they first met while working together. Almost six years later, after moving back to Chicago during the pandemic and getting engaged last July, they chose to celebrate their wedding somewhere that felt just right, a place where everyone would come together, no matter where they were traveling from.
With family and friends spread all across the United States, a destination wedding in Mexico felt natural. Not just a celebration, but a reason for everyone to pause, travel, and share a few days together.
They planned a welcome gathering at Petit Lafitte, hoping everyone would already be there, easing into the celebration before the wedding day even began.
They chose to get married on a Friday the 13th, often seen as an unlucky date, but for them, it has always been their favorite number. Rain had been in the forecast all week, but somehow, it never came.
Their ceremony took place under the palm trees at 5pm, with the soft light of the afternoon and the ocean nearby. There was something simple and meaningful about it, the kind of moment where everything feels present.
As the day moved into the evening, guests gathered on the terrace for cocktails before making their way to the beach, where the reception unfolded with the sound of the ocean in the background.
And in the middle of it all, you could feel what this day really meant: not just a wedding, but the coming together of two lives, two families, and a story that had already been growing for years.
Maybe Friday the 13th was never unlucky after all, just the perfect day for everything to fall exactly into place.

Some love stories don’t need many words.
You can feel them the moment two people look at each other.

Katrina and Delfin traveled from Canada to celebrate their wedding in Mexico, surrounded by the ocean views and warm light of Villa La Joya. After eight years together, this day was the celebration of a love story that had already been growing for a long time.

When they saw each other for the first time, everything else seemed to disappear for a moment. The way Delfin looked at Katrina, and the way she smiled when she turned around, were the kind of moments that remind me why I love photographing weddings.

As the day continued, the celebration slowly unfolded. Mariachis began to play, bringing such a beautiful touch of Mexican tradition to their wedding.

Later, their young nieces stood up to bless the meal. It was such a simple and heartfelt moment, one of those pauses where you could really feel the closeness of family.

Dinner turned into an evening full of laughter and little moments happening everywhere at once: friends laughing at the tables, someone quietly capturing memories with their own camera, the cake waiting to be cut, and Katrina taking a moment to refresh her lipstick before heading back to the celebration.

As the night continued under the warm Mexican sky, everything felt effortless and full of joy.

After eight years together, this wasn’t just the beginning of their marriage. It was the celebration of a love that had already grown strong and the promise of everything still to come and for me, a beautiful way to begin the year with my first wedding of the season

The idea is not to pose or pretend to be something we’re not. My photography doesn’t seek to replace those moments, but to honor what happens when no one is watchingrry photos, imperfect selfies, everyday moments just as we are, like the ones guests take. Their perspectives and gazes also accompany the couple.

My photography doesn’t seek to replace those moments, but to honor what happens when no one is watching.

Photographing Shanna and Chris’ wedding was truly special.
It was a day filled with calm moments, genuine emotions, and meaningful connections, surrounded by love, family, and friends.
Every image carries a piece of what was lived that day, but what I value the most is the experience we shared.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your trust and for allowing me to be part of such an intimate and unforgettable moment.
I leave with beautiful memories and a story I will carry with me forever. 🤍
