A couple of days ago, at the beautiful Weligama Beach, I had the opportunity to photograph Naina Mathur, a visitor from our neighbouring country, India 🇮🇳, as she experienced the joy of surfing in Sri Lanka.
This collection isn't just about riding waves.
It's about the entire journey.
The anticipation before stepping onto the sand.
The first lesson from a patient local surf coach.
Carrying the board toward the ocean.
The excitement...
The nervous moments...
The inevitable wipeouts (every surfer has them! 😄).
