PAWA 254 is a hub for visual creatives in Kenya and the region. PAWA 254- Power in Swahili + Kenya country code for national unity. It’s the time of the year where we ramp-up to courtesy of under the theme of “Building a Collaborative Democracy for Kenya’s Sustainable Future”.

We are live on location at for DemocrARtic Exhibitions where our incredible cohort of are showcasing their Augmented Reality (AR) artworks. Today’s showcase is part of the Digital Action Lab (DAL) campaign powered by .

Team PAWA had the distinct honor of hosting a delegation from Zimbabwe comprising of the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training, The Zimbabwe Youth Council and the National Youth Caucus.

Today’s conversation served as a learning experience on how young Africans are using non-formal means like to engage the civic space, what challenges they encounter, and how policymakers can better support them. We shared insights from PAWA’s , and we explored what the learnings mean in a broader African context.

These Pan-African conversations are essential not only for learning, but also for fostering cross-border solidarity in the quest for accountability and good governance.

As part of our ongoing project, Team PAWA was in Kajiado alongside Ngong Social Justice and Environment Center for a community led public forum.

Under the umbrella hosted by PAWA radio, the forum brought together members for the local community and government officials to explore the theme of “Unearthing the Gaps in Governance and Administration”.

Interventions like this are vital in creating structured dialogues between leaders and the constituencies they serve. This initiative seeks to transform dialogue into tangible action within Kajiado North and beyond.
