This cutest little buddy had a smashing birthday last month!

I can’t believe it’s already August! If you are wanting to get on my books for sessions in the next few months just know my weekends are starting to fill up. I have plenty of weekday availability but I wouldn’t hesitate too long on those dates either!

Also, after giving everything some heavy consideration for availability and our DEROS, I will be launching my annual membership on August 15th. This will allow for 2 full years of availability before we move on to different pastures. Looking forward to capturing even more memories in year 2 at Misawa!

This sweet babygirl thought she was going to stay awake and party her whole session, but the super swaddle has a tendency to win over even the most stubborn littles. It always brings a smile to my face to see heirlooms come out in these precious moments. Also, how special is it to have 3 generations of the family together at a newborn session?!

Here’s another cherry blossom session I haven’t shared yet! This family was so fun to shoot with! I had met Leah after she had booked a session with me. We realized we are neighbors and both our families just came here from Florida within the last year. They say it’s a small Air Force and Misawa is an even smaller base.

Also just to give an update/pre announcement. I am going to be adding a new “annual membership” option soon that will give you the opportunity to save some money while still getting to have a few sessions a year to document your time here in Japan!

As for my Misawa people, the hot summer days will be here before you know it. The beach may be cold now but who’s down for doing a beach session that ends with playing in the water?!

I love the challenge when people tell me they “don’t know how to pose.” Well that’s all part of my job. I will make sure to give you prompts and poses that show you at your best and most connected to your loved ones. Sometimes they sound silly, but the best memories start with a good laugh!

(I know, I know… I’m behind on posting Cherry Blossom pictures. Hopefully you all can forgive me as I share some of those sessions while I reminisce over the next couple of weeks, because they are too good to keep hidden away on my hard drives!)

All my newborns here have had a full head of hair! This sweet baby boy did so good during his session.

I love being able to capture all the little newborn details, to the snuggles with mom and dad. There were too many cute photos to narrow down this post.

This sweet baby girl came to the studio for some wrapped newborn portraits! Can you believe at that beautiful hair?!

Mama brought a baby blanket that she made and a dog collar from one of their fur babies that never got to meet her. I love being able to incorporate sentimental pieces into my sessions!

It was an honor and a privilege to become a part of the magic behind the F-35 Ribbon Cutting Ceremony last week. What started as a one-of-a-kind photography opportunity evolved into a chance to dig into my Night-to-Shine roots, taking on the balloon decor for both the ceremony space and the reception area. After watching my husband work the F-35 for the past 5 years, it was a fun and special time to be able to support a celebration of what brought our family to Misawa!
