I Spent the most magical morning last month wandering through Hazelborough Woods. There is nothing quite like the UK in spring when the forest floor completely transforms into a blanket of bluebells! As you can see even the pup was mesmerised by the view (or maybe just spotting a very lucky squirrel).

This was my first visit to the Bluebells in Hazelborough woods. I had been told that they were in a plantation about a mile in to the woods and after 30 minutes walking in their general direction i found a nice area of bluebells but was slightly disappointed as it wasn’t quite as nice as what I had expected. But undeterred I spent the next hour or so getting images the I decided to head back to the car only to run into a kind gentleman walking his dog who told me there was another better plantation 10 minutes further in to the woods he then showed me to a spectacular sea of bluebells where I spent another hour or so capturing images

There is something completely magical about spring in the UK, and this stunning view proves why. Walking through Dockey Woods on the Ashridge Estate feels like stepping straight into a fairytale.
Look at that golden path winding through a sea of vibrant bluebells! The contrast between the warm autumn leaves still carpeting the ground and the fresh, electric purple of the spring blooms is absolutely breathtaking.

If you catch it just as the low sun filters through the trees, the whole forest seems to glow.

Lost in a sea of violet and indigo. There is nothing quite like spring in the UK when the ancient floor of Dockey Wood completely transforms into this breathtaking, vibrant carpet.

Last month I took a trip to photograph the Bluebells in Dockey woods on the Ashridge estate. The bluebells were early this year but this trip was still about a week or two away from them being in full bloom
