Lake Como proposal photographer. Villa Melzi, Bellagio. Sunset, and the gardens are yours.

Camera shy? I get it, and it’s exactly why I’m there. I guide you through every moment — where to walk, when to stop, when to simply hold each other — and the rest happens on its own. A kiss like this one takes about three seconds of forgetting the camera exists.

A few things to know: on Lake Como the difference is made before you arrive. Private gardens booked outside opening hours where the villa allows it, the timing set on the light, boat and permits sorted in advance. The light is softest in the last hour before sunset.

Private access outside public hours — this is the real luxury on Lake Como. The Moorish kiosk, the cypresses, the palms catching the last light over the water. Just the two of you, and me.

A Lake Como proposal in the gardens of Villa Melzi — late afternoon, the light already turning.

She thought it was a garden walk. He’d been carrying the question for months, waiting for this exact hour, when the gardens quiet down and the lake starts its slow shift to gold.

Then a boat, and golden hour on the water. Bellagio behind them, the ring on her hand, the whole lake to themselves for a while.

A Lake Como engagement session at Villa Monastero, Varenna — in the hour when the gardens start emptying and the light turns gold.

N & P had the lakefront terrace almost to themselves. Cypresses overhead, the water flat and silver, Varenna’s rooftops catching the last warmth of the day.

The botanical gardens here run right along the edge of the lake — you walk between palms and agaves with nothing but water on the other side. It photographs like nowhere else on the lake.

Villa Monastero requires authorization for photo sessions; I’ll point you to the right contacts and walk you through it.

Villa del Balbianello proposal, Lake Como — and for one afternoon, the villa was entirely theirs. Most couples see Balbianello from the crowds on the terraces. X & J saw it in silence: a private fairy tale, one question, one yes. The boat below was chosen deliberately — the view of the villa from the water is the photograph everyone remembers.
