Honourable Mention at the International Photography Awards 2026 for my series “Antibodies” — International Photography Awards
In late 2025, protests in support of the Palestinian people spread from the Port of Genoa to major global capitals. At the centre of these protests, dockworkers from the Autonomous Collective of Port Workers (CALP), who refuse to handle weapons transiting through the port, according to Italy’s ban on arms exports to countries involved in armed conflicts or human rights violations. Intersecting in 2025 with the Global Sumud Flotilla campaign and national strikes against war budgets, the action transformed the hub into a symbol of active opposition to the narrative of an inevitable war.
