🐅 THE ORANGE CAT. INDIA’S GREATEST CONSERVATION SUCCESS STORY.

This , 29 July, a huge shout-out to the countless forest guards, frontline staff, researchers, conservationists, local communities, volunteers and wildlife enthusiasts who have worked relentlessly to bring India’s tiger back from the brink. 🙏🌿

From an estimated 1,411 tigers in 2006 to 3,682 in 2022, India has witnessed an extraordinary turnaround. Today, our forests are home to more than 70% of the world’s wild tigers — making India the single most important stronghold for this magnificent species. 🐅

And the numbers tell only part of the story.

Behind every tiger sighting is a much bigger conservation story — protected forests, thriving prey populations, anti-poaching efforts, scientific camera-trap monitoring, wildlife corridors and years of dedicated work on the ground.

A few fascinating facts about our striped monarch:
🟠 No two tigers have exactly the same stripe pattern — much like fingerprints.
🟠 The tiger is the largest of the world’s wild cats.
🟠 Tigers are excellent swimmers and can cross surprisingly large stretches of water.
🟠 India’s 2022 tiger estimation involved one of the world’s largest wildlife survey efforts, covering vast landscapes through camera traps, field surveys and scientific modelling.

But perhaps the most remarkable fact is this:

We didn't just save a species. We protected an entire ecosystem.

Every tiger needs forests, prey, water and space to roam. Protect the tiger, and we protect the forest that protects countless other species — and ultimately, us.

Here’s to everyone who made this incredible recovery possible.
The roar is louder because thousands of people chose to listen. ❤️🐅

**What a view...** 🐅💛

After a long search, we finally spotted this magnificent male subadult tiger quenching his thirst at the Zone 4 water reservoir. Moments like these remind us that every wildlife safari is about patience, and nature rewards those who wait.

🌿 Did you know?
Tigers thrive in a wide variety of habitats—from dense tropical forests and grasslands to mangrove swamps and temperate woodlands. Regardless of the landscape, one thing remains essential: a reliable source of fresh water. Tigers are powerful swimmers, often cooling off in ponds, lakes, and reservoirs during hot days while also using these water sources as hunting grounds.

Every sighting is a privilege. Let's continue to support wildlife conservation so future generations can witness these incredible animals in their natural home.

☀️ A calm face. A crushing force.

This crocodile is simply basking in the sun—but don’t let the peaceful scene fool you.

🐊 Crocodile Bite Force: **~3,700 PSI**
🐅 Tiger Bite Force: **~1,050 PSI**

A crocodile delivers **more than 3× the bite force** of a tiger, making it one of the strongest bites in the animal kingdom.

Nature’s reminder that true power doesn’t always need to roar.

Did you know that a tiger's nose can reveal clues about its age? 🐅👃

While every tiger has a unique nose pattern—much like a human fingerprint—the colour of the nose often changes over time. Younger tigers usually have a brighter pink nose, which gradually darkens and develops more black pigmentation as they mature. It's not an exact way to determine age, but it can offer fascinating hints when observed alongside other physical features.

Swipe through to explore the intricate details that make this magnificent big cat one of nature's most iconic predators, ending with the complete portrait in all its glory.

Every stripe tells a story. Every whisker has a purpose. And every tiger is truly one of a kind. 🌿

Silent. Powerful. Unstoppable. 🐅🌊

With a spotted deer clenched in her jaws, this tigress the famous “Paar Waali” cuts through the water with incredible strength and determination. Tigers are not just apex predators — they are also excellent swimmers, often crossing rivers while carrying heavy prey back to safer ground.

In the wild, every successful hunt is a story of patience, power, and survival.

All thanks to bhai for this unforgettable sighting

Stillness with purpose. 🐊☀️
Crocodiles are often seen basking in the sun for hours, but it’s not laziness — it’s survival science. Being cold-blooded reptiles, they depend on external heat to regulate their body temperature. Sun basking helps them warm up, boost digestion, and conserve energy before slipping silently back into the water.

Masters of patience, power, and perfect camouflage — one of nature’s oldest surviving predators.”
