Firstly, a huge congratulations to our winner – and a massive thank you to everyone who entered and shared their beautiful pets with me. I wish I could photograph them all!

As a thank you, I’m opening a limited number of additional pet portrait sessions at Annaharvey Farm.

For those who entered, I have 5 complimentary €50 Wall Art credits available, which will be offered to the first five people to book a session.

These sessions are designed to create timeless artwork of your pet – something truly special to enjoy for years to come. 🖼️

Sessions must be booked by 30th April, and availability is limited, so early booking is recommended. 📆

Heather deserves a Silver Award! 🥈🤍

🦄 A shiny grey Irish Draught mare, Heather was an absolute dream to photograph. Capturing memories like this is always special, but having it recognised makes it even more meaningful. Credit should also go to Heather's rider Cliona, for all her efforts getting Heather so clean and sparkly! ✨

I was away in the UK at an international dressage competition when I received the results of the Spring Round of IPPVA Awards. I was so busy covering the Irish riders competing and sending editorial images back to Ireland for publication that I only had time to share the two images that won Gold awards - however I did also win a Silver and 3 Bronze Awards! 🥇🥇🥈🥉🥉🥉🎊

I'm just catching up now and delighted to share Heather's beauty and calmness! One judge commented "Beautiful sculptural lighting and strong impact. The elegant curve of the horse creates a striking graphic composition against the dark background."

I think each pet deserves their own post so I'll share the Bronze Awards another time! 😊

🥇🥇This week got off to a great start when I received an email from the Irish Professional Photographers & Videographers Association informing me that my images had won TWO GOLD AWARDS!!! 🥇🥇🎊 😁- the only Gold awards in the Spring round over all the categories!!! 😁 🍾🥂

🐱 Sq**rt the kitten won Gold in the Pets & Domesticated Animals category, while a Southern Yellow-Billed Hornbill having lunch in the Kruger National Park, South Africa won Gold in the Wildlife Category.

Every time I win an award I can't believe it is my name amongst the best of Irish professional photographers whose work I admire so much - it really means a lot to me! To top off my Irish Professional Pet Photographer of the Year win with these two Gold awards is just unbelievable! Huge thanks to the team behind these awards who put in so much work to make it happen each year. 👏
