Shooting for the craic!

Few images from spectating the Dublin City Marathon. What a buzz to see thousands of runners & spectators on the streets of Dublin 👌🏻 Selection of images available on my site.

📍 Manx GP / Classic TT pt.2

Didnt feel right leaving these sitting on the laptop, so here's a second set from my few days on the Island.

Next stop, Athea Road Races 🏁

📍 Manx GP/ Classic TT, Isle of Man

Well, what an unreal few days! A four day trip over for the Manx GP turned into unthinkable luck when the schedule was revised and Classic TT brought forward meaning we managed to get nearly every race 👌🏻

Equipped with the 70-200 with 1.4x and wee 50m 1.4. With no transport we stuck close to the Grandstand for the few days. What a buzz capturing the essence or road racing. Tough to get 20 images into one post. May have to drop a part 2. Not many racing images this time round, but a nice mix.

Hope you enjoy 👌🏻

📍 Armoy Road Races

Well, what started out to be miserable turned out to be a cracker! With deck chairs placed on the exit of the last corner, the morning started moist along with added delays, it turned out to be a cracker! Some great racing throughout the classes.

Packed with the 50mm, 70-200mm and the 1.4x, managed to get a nice collection of images from the day! Wasn't too sure with the weather and vantage point but made it work.

Fair play to the Armoy Media club for a top 2 days entertainment.

Wee break before I head to the Manx for a few days craic and shooting 📷

📍 Walderstown Road Races

Another successful race meeting, the weather has been an absolute legend the last few weeks. Well done to the Fore Motor Cycle Racing Club CLG / Walderstown Road Racing for a safe and entertaining weekend.

Brought the 70-200mm & big 300mm 2.8 for this one, the start/finish straight is the widest road on the calendar so wanted that extra reach. Got the deck chair out just before the start which allowed to nip to the holding area for different angles.

Wasn't feeling as creative as other weekends, maybe it was the few 🍺 the night before 🤣.

Onto the next, 📍 Armoy.

📍 Southern 100 - Isle Of Man

What an event this is!
Weather, racing, calibre of riders, crowds, all create a savage racing evening.

A 2 day visit, equipped with the 50mm for Wednesday evenings racing and the 70-200mm for the Thursday.

Next stop - Walderstown Road Races.

📍 SKERRIES 100

Firstly my thoughts, and deepest condolences are with John's family, friends, and the entire road racing paddock and Loughshinny MCC.

What was lining up to be a fantastic days racing, can change in the blink of an eye 🙏

Here's a selection of images I captured over the weekends action. As it was my local race, I brought the heavier and bulkier 300mm f2.8 with the 1.4x extender for a spin along with the pocket rocket 50mm f1.4 for the shorter range. So pardon the lack of wide angles on this post.

📍 TANDRAGEE 100

▪️ A bag of mixed conditions, heading home burned and soaked. Tucked into the field, on the inside before the start and finish for the day. Equipped with 24-70m this time. Enjoyable days shooting and spectating.

Looking forward Skerries 100 this weekend, my local race!

📍 Isle of man TT.

A selection of images from 3 spectating spots. Crosby Jump, Glen Helen & Creg Ny Ba.
