I WASN’T EXPECTING
A BOOK TO MAKE ME
QUESTION THIS.

Land — Maggie O’Farrell
Christ on a bike, I found the first half a hard slog. At times I genuinely felt like I needed a dictionary beside me to read it. BUT the latter half was brilliant and I’m glad I stuck with it. I loved so much about it, but far too long for me

The Correspondent — Virginia Evans
Such an easy, lovely read. It flowed so naturally that I absolutely flew through it, and then the fecking thing made me cry. Sometimes a good cry is needed.

Currently reading and it’s so easy to get absorbed into anything Kristin Hannah writes, I love how her books bring me to different ears and learn new things.

The Names - is on my to read list, should I read it next?

Also on my reading list are Dungeon Crawler Carl and Whistler! I CANNOT wait to read Dungeon Crawler Carl it sounds so unlike anything I’ve ever read, it’s meant to be completely unhinged, hilarious and a pager turner.

Fruit Fly — Josh Silver
This made me laugh SO much. dark and funny, but somehow had me hooked at every stage. Also Josh Silver is a little bit ridy in his bio pic - Just saying girls!

THE NOT ONE BUT TWO THAT FU**ED WITH MY HEAD.

She Who Remains — Rene Karabash
Short and beautifully narrated.. A coming-of-age story shaped by mistakes, gender, and the society you’re born into. I’m not sure why I loved this so much but it was a peek into Albanian life and I do love a book which sends me on a google deep dive, in this case it was all things Albania.

I Who Have Never Known Men — Jacqueline Harpman

Also short. Also completely fu**ed with my head. I genuinely cannot stop thinking about this book. It made me question how naturally hopeful we are as humans, that instinct to keep going, searching and believing there must be something ahead of us.

I think about it a lot because maybe hope is wrong?

Bleak, strange and fascinating.

A very soft day in Kerry ☔️

Laura & John got married in Holy Cross Church in Kenmare before heading back to the gorgeous Dromquinna Manor for funzos

And while the skies were grey, Sammy the dog was an absolute ray of ickle sunshine!

8 years ago they spotted each other across the bar at musical bingo… and apparently they’ve barely stopped talking since!

NOTE TO SELF - Attend musical bingo to find a husband

Georgia & Mark, married at the gorgeous Tankardstown House, (not in Cork) surrounded by their favourite people, plenty of laughs, a few happy tears and one seriously good party.

A day that was exactly what they wanted, relaxed, full of craic, and all about celebrating the two of them.

What a bloody lovely day, up along the way, it’s nice to shoot somewhere new ❤️

I love black and white images, they create a sense of wonder and nostalgia! Don’t get me wrong I love love my bright colours but there’s something so curious about stripping colour away and making the image do all the work. What do you think?
