Of course I probably should of being helping to set up the next photograph of all the cousins ...but this photo was really what I was hoping to capture.

At weddings I spend the entire day taking photographs. It's not unusual for me to finish a wedding with 6000-7000 photos taken. But I am a photographer, I love taking photographs and weddings are just the best place to roam wild and free with a camera. I don't want perfect, I want wonderful real moments and expressions that can never be recreated. A split second, a look a smile a click. Some people find it a little strange at first when I arrive to a wedding. I really don't say much... but you get used to it! I have been photographing weddings for over 20 years. I know when it's time to speak. I just prefer to take photographs. The more the better! So you can just enjoy your day without any interruptions from me. ❤️

It is hard to put into words what happens on your wedding day. All that time spent choosing the tiniest of details from the font on your invitation to the song you will have your first dance to. Then when the day is over what do you have?

Why not take out your wedding photographs tonight and go through them one by one. They will look different, they will feel different.... but they are the same photos.

Remember though most importantly that you have them all backed up carefully. Two separate hard drives and a third on the cloud. Maybe even print your favourites.
