WHAT TO WEAR FRIDAYS
Welcome back to another edition of What to Wear Fridays, my weekly styling series designed to help make choosing outfits for your family photographs that little bit easier.
This week's inspiration combines soft sage green, warm cream, pale blue and gentle floral tones. It's a palette that feels fresh, elegant and relaxed, while still looking polished enough for a studio portrait session.
One of the things I love most about this combination is the variety. Some family members are wearing solid colours, others have subtle florals or textured fabrics, but everything works together because the colours sit within the same soft palette.
This is a great example of how larger family groups can coordinate without looking overly matched. The sage green acts as the anchor colour, while the creams, soft blues and warm neutrals create balance throughout the image.
Notice too how the textures add interest - floaty fabrics, delicate prints and soft cottons all help create depth without distracting from the people in the photograph.
As a family and newborn photographer based in Greystones, Co. Wicklow, I always encourage families to think about their outfits as a collection rather than individual pieces. When the colours and textures work together, the final photographs feel timeless and effortless.
Save this post for future inspiration and let me know if you'd like to see more styling ideas for larger family groups in future editions of What to Wear Fridays.
See you next Friday for more wardrobe inspiration.
