What a great experience it was to attend the Irish Basking Shark Conference in ATU Galway last month! 🦈

They are a species we still know so little about but it was great to hear from experts in the field about their history, ecology, and the many threats that they face in today’s world.

Many of my most memorable experiences along our coasts have involved basking sharks and whats not to love about these gentle giants of the ocean.

Looking forward to more experiences with these fish in the future and thanks for for organising this great event.

Ringed Plovers at Sunset 🌅

Love watching these small little plovers as they run along our beaches and shorelines in search of food. These guys were resting together, soaking up the last few rays of sunshine, while the waves of the wild Atlantic Ocean crashed into the shore behind them.
