Bónus is the real MVP of our trip to Iceland 🇮🇸

Also, did you even go to Iceland if you didn’t try an Icelandic hot dog?! 🌭

Hi! 👋 We’re Brian & Steph, an adventure travel couple from the USA. We’ve been to 45 + countries together and love sharing our experiences (both the good + the bad) with you!

We recently got back from 10 days in Iceland! Yes, this country is just as magical, if not more magical than everyone says!

💰 BUT, yes, it’s very expensive! We relied on grocery stores for our food 95% of the time and saved so much money doing so!

We did all of our shopping at Bónus, which is a popular budget grocery store in Iceland. The prices are comparable to the prices at home!

Anyone else turn into a whole different person when they’re out of the country? 😂

At home, you can hardly get me to stay up past 9pm, but when I’m out of the country it’s a different story!

This is especially true in Iceland where the sun doesn’t currently set till after 10pm!

Who else’s spouse will just randomly leave their side mid sentence to get the best shot? 😂

Honestly, I love that B loves taking pictures because I never have to ask him to take a candid of me…. But sometimes it leaves me looking like I’m talking to myself. LOL

Info:
- In East Iceland off the Ring road! You’ll need to drive a few km down a gravel road to get to the parking lot! We didn’t have trouble with a 2wd vehicle in the summer, but you’d need a 4wd for more severe weather!

- There are 2 lots! Park in the east side lot if you want to walk down into the canyon!

- You’ll pay 1000 ISK to park!

Who else has seeing puffins in their natural habitat on their bucket list? 🧡 🇮🇸

Welcome to Hafnarhólmi in the Eastfjords of Iceland!

From mid-April to mid-August each year you can see the puffin colonies return to nest and breed!

There were so many puffins it was overwhelming!!!! I was freaking out, but so was everyone else there!! 😆
