☘️ Alison 🌺 Some people walk into your life for a day and leave a lasting impression forever. Photographing this beautiful bride was more than just capturing a wedding. It felt like spending the day with someone I’d known for years. She reminded me of an old best friend.

From the laughs to the little in-between moments, her energy was effortless, warm, fun, and so kind.
The kind of soul that makes everyone around her feel comfortable and seen. We instantly clicked, vibed from the very beginning, and it made every photo feel natural and full of life.

Grateful not just to have documented such a special day, but to have met such a beautiful human along the way

🎞️ My approach to film photography has always been rooted in restraint and atmosphere, never overly worked or “filmic” just for aesthetics.

I want the frames to breathe and when I shoot a wedding on film, I’m thinking first about light: how it falls across skin, creates mood, and shapes emotion. Portra specifically renders highlights and skin tones so beautifully, keeping softness and depth without losing detail. That pastel roll-off is what gives these images feeling, not just the colour.

Film isn’t a trend for me, it’s not performative (everyone’s new buzz word this week ) I’ve been shooting it for over 25 years and first learned photography through medium format in art school. That foundation taught me patience, intention, and how to truly see light. My work has always been about creating imagery that feels. 🎞️

Black and white film that strips everything back, light, texture, emotion, connection. Shot on HP5 120, every frame feels honest and timeless to me. No distractions, no noise, just two people completely in their own world. Thank you always to the best film lab in Europe.
