Hannah & Shane at Ballykealey House.

An intimate celebration with their closest people, their poodle Penny very much part of the day, and one of those wonderfully relaxed weddings where nothing felt rushed.

We had a little more time than usual to wander around the grounds together: through the gardens, beneath the cherry blossoms and out again later as the evening light disappeared.

It was very heartfelt, easy-going and full of lovely little moments in between.

People often ask me what makes a wedding unforgettable. Impossible to answer as every wedding is so different.

For Charlotte & Tony, it was the music.

From the moment Charlotte played the piano during their church ceremony, music became the heartbeat of the day. As they walked back down the aisle as husband and wife, they were greeted by bubbles floating through the air and live Irish music playing outside the church doors.

They drove through town in a vintage car with glasses of bubbly in hand before we stopped at Charlotte’s childhood home, where sunshine, rain showers and cherry blossom trees gave us every season in a single afternoon.

Back at the reception, guests were welcomed by live music from Tropical Storm, who had everyone singing and dancing from the very beginning. Throughout dinner, music filled the room and people danced at their tables.

Rain, wind, sunshine, music, family and so much joy. A wedding day full of so much energy and love.

Oh what a beautiful and slightly chaotic summer we’re having. On wedding days it’s giving sunsets like this 😍

In between road trips, wild swims, garden barbecues, I’m in middle of my busiest month this year. And like I always have said, I’m like s bear, I’ve all the energy to do it all in summer and love my quiet cave time in winter.

This is a frame from one of my June couples wedding day, Ericka and Jack.

One of those wedding days where the rain simply became part of the story.

Eleanor and Liam embraced every moment of it, and honestly, I wouldn’t have changed a thing.

Their ceremony at Trudder Lodge was one of my favourites I’ve ever photographed. Beneath a magnificent old tree, surrounded by nature, they exchanged vows in a ceremony led by celtic druid Dara Molloy, filled with symbolism, music and beautiful personal touches.

After the ceremony we wandered through Trudder Lodge grounds for portraits, finding beautiful pockets of light along the way. The rain came and went, but Eleanor and Liam embraced it.

The whole day felt relaxed, personal and completely their own. And just when guests thought the surprises were over, two llamas made an appearance which was completely unexpected!

I can’t wait to photograph another wedding at Trudder Lodge.

After more than ten years of photographing weddings, I still experience plenty of firsts.

Laura and Hugh brought me a new experience: hiking up a mountain on a wedding day to photograph their first look.

What made it even more special for me is that this place is close to home and holds many personal memories. We spent so much time there during pandemic with our dog and now hike it with our three year old daughter.

Laura and Hugh’s wedding itself was anything but ordinary, spanning three counties and involving more travel than most wedding days. Yet the day never felt rushed.

I always say that with the right planning, you can do almost anything on a wedding day and I encourage my couples to do what feels like them.

A quick look into Ericka & Jack’s wedding day.
I don’t even know where to start with this one. Their day was packed with incredible moments.
One of them was when Jack surprised everyone by performing with his friends, and the crowd went wild. It was one of those moments that nobody will forget anytime soon.
But that energy carried through the whole day. I can’t wait to share more from this inspirational wedding.
Ericka & Jack, thank you for having me there to document it all ❤️

A wedding full of artistry, family, and sunshine.

After one of the rainiest Irish winters I can remember, Valerie & David were gifted the most beautiful March day at Fernhill House. The sunshine poured through the ceremony room windows until evening speeches in the same room.

What made this wedding especially memorable was how much of it was created by the people who love them most.

Valerie embroidered her own veil, added the sleeve details to her wedding dress, and hand-painted champagne glasses for her bridal party. Her creativity could be seen in every detail throughout the day.

The family talent didn’t stop there. Valerie’s three brothers made the wedding cakes themselves, each one completely different and absolutely delicious (berry-filled was my favourite!).

Their brothers also provided live music during the ceremony, adding another deeply personal touch to an already emotional celebration.

From their first look among the ruins at Arundell Mills to the golden evening light at sunset, this was a wedding full of laughter, tears, creativity, and so much love.
