What does Gen Z really think about British culture and its place in the world?

We surveyed 2,500 young people aged 16 to 24 across the UK and the results might surprise you. Despite living and breathing social media, the majority still believe film and TV will have the greatest influence on global culture over the next decade. Digital creators came in well behind music, fashion and even video games.

From Harry Styles topping the fashion rankings to Christopher Nolan being named the most influential director of the past decade, the research paints a rich and sometimes unexpected picture of how this generation sees British culture.

You can use ‘either’ or ‘neither’ in a short answer to agree with someone. 💬

But you can’t use the same structure. You must change the subject-verb order when the negative is at the start of a clause.

Is English becoming the global language of the professional world?

As STEM and business increasingly adopt English as the international language of industry, higher education is evolving to keep pace.

Our research shows rapid growth in English-taught programmes across vocational and technical subjects in emerging regional education hubs.

For many students, English is no longer simply an academic requirement. It is increasingly viewed as:
🌍 a pathway to international careers💼 a tool for professional mobility📈 a means of accessing global industries🎓 a way to build career-ready skills

As employer demand continues to shape higher education, institutions face important questions about programme design, skills development and student outcomes.

How is your institution responding to this shift?
