Jonathan wanted the proposal to feel private, natural and completely theirs.

Instead of an elaborate setup, we chose Tabakaria in Chania — sea, rocks, historic waterfront buildings and enough space to let the moment unfold naturally.

We planned a short walking route with several possible spots and left the final decision for the moment itself.

That was exactly the right choice.

Katie & Sarah — Aposelemis Beach, Crete

Some proposals don’t need a big setup or a complicated plan.

For Katie and Sarah, the idea was simple: a quiet walk along Aposelemis Beach, enough space for the moment to feel private, and discreet photography from a distance so nothing interrupted the surprise.

Once the question had been asked, everything relaxed. We stayed by the sea for a while, photographed the first reactions and the ring, and then continued with a simple sunset session as the light changed.

What made this proposal work was not staging the moment — it was preparing the details beforehand and then letting it happen naturally.

A natural sunset proposal at Aposelemis Beach, Crete.

The plan was simple: I was already sitting on the beach like another visitor while the couple walked along the shoreline. A few moments later, the proposal unfolded naturally, without interrupting the surprise or turning the experience into a staged production.

This is the approach I often prefer for proposals — discreet, calm and focused on the real moment.
