Here is my take on a few simple things that can help create relaxed, authentic moments that translate beautifully into timeless photo’s…

Be present - every time you are together during your wedding day, consider that time as a chance to just be present together. Take a deep breath, hold hands, laugh, talk, enjoy those quiet moments. The more you’re in the moment, the more authentic your photos will feel ✨

A personal favourite - forget about perfect. Some of the most beautiful photo’s are those inbetween moments. The laughter, windswept hair, a spontaneous hug, a little kiss or a quiet glance. Those imperfect moments often become the favourites ✨

Stay close - the little moments happen when you’re physically connected. Hold hands, wrap your arms around each other, lean in close. Small touches create timeless photo’s ✨

Don’t worry about the camera - you don’t need to know where to look or how to ‘pose’. I’ll guide you with gentle direction. Instead of “smile at the camera,” I’ll encourage a little movement and connection that feels natural to you ✨

Embrace the weather - you can not control it. Whether it’s a super hot sunny day, misty rain, dramatic clouds, or a little wind, they can all add atmosphere and emotion. Some of the most beautiful photo’s happen when you work with the conditions as opposed to against them ✨

Imagine the legalities are done, there are no real timelines, there was no list of groupshots.

Trish & John’s day was a day surrounded by their favourite people, being fully present and celebrating in a way that felt truly like them ☺️

The hugs lasted a little longer, the conversations were meaningful, the laughter echoed all day long and the dance floor was on fire!

Sometimes the most beautiful photo’s aren’t directed or prompted, they’re lived ✨
