It’s time to say goodbye 👋🏻

Instagram has been such a big part of my journey as a food photographer for the past 8 years and we’ve had some fun times together. But I’ve reached a point in my life where I want to put my energy into the things that matter most to me right now. Creating more art, teaching and spending my time with an incredible group of photographers I get to build alongside this year.

All that being said I would love to stay in touch. You can find me over on LinkedIn where I talk about the Industry, projects and all the fun stuff going into building a creative business. Our best work is never made alone 🧡🎥

The shoots I’m most proud of? Every single one was built with the right team around me. All the stylists who got my vision. Creatives that pushed the work somewhere unexpected. Those are the best shoot days with best work.

And that energy just doesn’t happen when you’re shooting solo.

Which is why I’m building something I genuinely think the industry needs- a global directory of stylists and industry creatives for food and product photographers.

Wherever you’re based: London, Paris, New York, Sydney, or somewhere in between you should be able to find the right collaborators for your next shoot.

Trust is something no one talks about in commercial photography

After shooting commercials for the past few years I’ve learned that portfolio gets you considered, but trust gets you booked and I know how frustrating the constant “maybe” can feel like

I wrote a longer note this week on Substack about what production teams actually look like on set and why understanding the structure changes everything

When I started, not many photographers were offering help or providing resources and I really struggled learning about the industry. I’m hoping to change that.

Capturing the perfect shot in a 5-star setting where customers are dining is not an easy task! This shoot was a true test of my problem-solving skills, from mastering lighting to making sure all the colours were as they should in post. But we got there in the end like we always do!
