Whitehaven Rugby League 2010's CIARAN WALKER has now scored in 21 (yes, TWENTY ONE) consecutive games in the Betfred Championship, and with four more goals on Sunday at Workington Town, Ciaran is in fourth place in the Championship 'goals scored' table and third placed in the 'points scored' table. Quite remarkable for a player from the team that finished 9th in the League, and VERY impressive.

📸 I am very pleased with LEAGUE EXPRESS today with a nice big picture of mine to illustrate Dave Parkinson's excellent match report. I am also dead chuffed that I got this picture of Ellison Holgate celebrating his try - raw emotion - and he has had a fantastic season with Whitehaven Rugby League 2010, a stand out Championship player. BUT, it was a picture that almost never got taken: some lads behind the Haven sticks had asked me to take a picture of them, and, somewhat foolishly, particularly as Haven were attacking, I did. I JUST about spun round in time as the volume in the Fibrus Community Stadium went up a notch or three. I was in the 'wrong' place, my camera was on the 'wrong' setting, at the 'wrong time' but by chance I happened to be in the right place on the right setting at the right time as Ellison stormed over.

Whitehaven Rugby League 2010 will travel to Midlands Hurricanes in their eliminator, and Barrow Raiders will be at Doncaster Rugby League in their qualifying semi-final. League Leaders’ Shield winners London and runners-up Newcastle are both not in action as they get a bye into the second week.

It was a win for Whitehaven Rugby League 2010 in the Cumbria derby in the last game of the Betfred Championship regular season as they defeated Workington Town Rugby League Football Club 20-29. Town's tries from two excellent efforts from Harrison Jewitt, Jake Carter and Mason Lewthwaite, the conversions from Jake Carter. Whitehaven's tries from Jack Kellett, Ellison Holgate, Mitchell Todd, Jordan Burns and Ethan Bickerdike, the conversions from Ciaran Walker and a drop goal from Jay Weatherill, 1,811 watched on at the Fibrus Community Stadium. 📸Photos by Ben Challis Sports Photography

TODAY IS THE FINAL MATCH OF THE BETFRED CHAMPIONSHIP REGULAR SEASON and it's derby day as Workington Town Rugby League Football Club take on Whitehaven Rugby League 2010. And today Jonty Gorley steps down as Head Coach of Town, having previously held the same role at Haven. Jonty is still involved with Town, staying on as Head of Rugby, after a near 30 year long journey spent as a successful head coach with both clubs, and in the amateur game.
