This gorgeous little boy came to me as an older newborn, which can sometimes make posing a little more challenging. Older babies are often more alert and sensitive to touch, so every movement needs extra patience, gentleness and time. 🤍

But with a calm environment, plenty of soothing and working completely at his pace, we captured this beautiful, peaceful portrait.

So if your baby has passed the traditional newborn photography window, please don’t assume you’ve missed your chance, beautiful images are still absolutely possible. 🥹

Would you believe this was created in my studio? 👀📸

I’ve realised that although photography is where my entire journey began, I hardly ever share my actual work anymore. Somewhere between opening a three-floor studio, building a team and trying to do approximately 400 things at once, I stopped showing people what I love creating most.

So, I’m changing that from today. 🖤

I’m Vanessa, the photographer behind Vanessa Charlotte Photography, based in Wolverhampton City Centre. I specialise in creating maternity, newborn and family portraits that feel a little different, beautiful, dramatic and full of meaning.

My sessions are never just about standing in front of a camera. They’re complete experiences, with guidance throughout, access to my wardrobe and the option of makeup and hair, all created to help you feel confident and completely looked after.

Whether you’re celebrating your pregnancy, welcoming your newborn or finally gathering the whole family together, I want to create something that your family will still treasure generations from now.

elebrating yourself is never something you should feel guilty about. 🤍

This beautiful client truly embraced her birthday by pouring into herself from start to finish.

She began her day in our Beauty Studio, where the wonderful Cassandra styled her hair to perfection before joining me for a birthday portrait experience. Then, after capturing these beautiful memories, she returned to the studio to unwind with a relaxing massage from Latessa.

Watching women choose themselves, celebrate who they are, and create memories that will last a lifetime is one of the greatest privileges of what we do.

And can we just take a moment for her gorgeous little girl? She was an absolute joy, full of smiles, laughter and personality. It was such a pleasure having them both in the studio.
