My name is Simon Lewis and I am a photographer based in South Somerset, UK.

I am a keen birdwatcher and have combined my passion for birds and nature with my love of photography. I took up photography again in 2013 after a long hiatus. I was a keen photographer in my early and mid teens and even applied for a job as a trainee photographer at the South Wales Echo when I was 17 and was accepted. I stupidly turned the offer down for reasons I wont go into but mainly because

I was stupid and 17. I started out shooting wildlife and sports shots but have now switched to landscapes and street style photography. I use a Nikon Z6 full frame mirror less camera and a variety of lenses to get my shots. My work has been featured in the countries biggest photography magazines such as Digital Camera and N-photo. I have won some major competitions and made finals in nearly 100 more.

All three of these images were taken on the DJI | Hasselblad UK mini5 pro. Using a drone isn’t always about getting as high up as you can. They are so useful for finding new angles to compose from at just above ground level too. Just be careful in woodlands you don’t clip a stray branch. The M5 pro has great omnidirectional avoidance but it still isn’t perfect.
