As many of you know back in September ‘25 we sold our family home of 18 years and moved into a rental while we renovate our new home (…that’s another story in itself, see image above of me cleaning bricks this weekend, our new home is far from liveable yet!)
This move also meant that I had to say goodbye to my gorgeous home studio where I have photographed so many of you as bumps, babies and families over the past 12 years ❤️
However after a lot of soul searching I have made the decision to not find myself a new studio space.
Photography is a huge part of who I am and always will be, but feeling and hearing all of your stories about your different journeys into parenthood before, during and after birth over the years inspired me…I wanted to do more, I wanted to help more and so last year an exciting career change began;
I became a Mental Health first aider (thx to the amazing Millie’s Trust), I started my Doula education which covers Antenatal, Birth & Postnatal care for families, I’m a year into my studies at Stockport College working towards my Level 5 Counselling Diploma and I’m also in the process of training to be a part time parent volunteer for PADAS (Perinatal Mental Illness).
My dream is to become a therapeutic counsellor working within the maternal mental health field supporting parents before, during or after birth. However I am not hanging up my camera just yet, I will still be working alongside some lovely Baby Brands and local Schools doing their marketing photos plus Outdoor Family Lifestyle Sessions are still very much available.
Nurtured With Love will grow and change with me over these next couple of years as I complete my studies and I begin to move into the wonderful world of mental health.
Every single one of the images I’ve created for you all over the years genuinely holds a piece of my heart, thank you all for giving me the opportunity to be part of and capture so many of your precious family moments, especially with all of your gorgeous newborns. This ‘job’ has been such a blessing to me in so many ways and I’m eternally grateful for everything it’s given me.
With love
Lou x ❤️
