Spanish City Dome

After a £10 million revamp on the iconic Spanish City Dome, this beautiful grade II listed building opened its doors once again to the public, offering a high-end market of luxurious dining and gift shops. I for one couldn't wait until the renovations were completed, and back on the 23rd July 2018, I was straight there with my camera to capture the interior restoration that has been restored to is former glory.
I followed the restoration process, lead by Roberston North East England, as I was writing a book while on my graphic design course at the Queen Alexandra College, which featured my photographs along with poems from local poets and collaborated them together creating historical and the evolution events of this gorgeous seaside town.
Going to Spanish City in the 80's as a child, with the rides, attractions and indoor market, that now holds the Playhouse, I fell in love with the place, and knew one day I'd move here, and I did!
The beauty that is installed in that build, which can sometimes go unmissed, I took photos to draw the attention to the finer details that can be overlooked. Here are a few of my photos.
