Carl Oliver Photography Hello and welcome to my Page. My name is Carl and I`am a keen photographer from Whitby, North Yorkshire.

When I’m not behind the lens, I’m on the road as a truck driver, exploring new places and discovering unique moments everywhere i go.

I’ve finally got around to sifting through the 200+ shots I took at last weekend’s TRUCK It Show at Driffield Showground.

There were some absolutely cracking trucks on display, so if you spot yourself, your truck, a driver or a company you know, feel free to tag them below!

It was also a brilliant afternoon out with the kids, plenty of trucks to admire and a great atmosphere all round.

More photos to come, so keep your eyes peeled!

Sometimes you just need to stop for a while, forget about the problems of everyday life and enjoy a little peace and quiet.

A quick stop at Berriedale Braes and the old Berriedale Cemetery on a recent work trip.

A few minutes with views like these can make all the difference.

One of the best things about my job is the places it takes me. 📷

A recent work trip through Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) and into the Welsh Valleys gave me the chance to stop for a few minutes and capture these beautiful views.

From sweeping landscapes to a quiet moment at a memorial overlooking the valleys, there was beauty around every corner.

It just goes to show that sometimes the best photographs come when you least expect them.

Here's a little start to the weekend... 🌾☀️

Golden fields, blue skies and the peaceful beauty of a summer's evening in Yorkshire.

Have a great weekend everyone!

One of the reasons I love Scotland so much is the peace you find, especially in the far north. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The further north you travel, the quieter it becomes. Endless skies, open landscapes and roads that seem to go on forever. It's the perfect place to slow down, take it all in, and enjoy the beauty of this incredible country.

📍 Looking east from Loch Rangag as dramatic storm clouds swept across the Flow Country.

📍 A peaceful moment on the A9, with the road disappearing into the Highland landscape.

📍 Cromarty Bridge, stretching across the Cromarty Firth beneath another stunning Scottish sky.

These moments are exactly why I love photographing Scotland. Every trip is different, and you never know what the weather will bring.

A little wander around Helmsley, North Yorkshire. 📷☀️

Blue skies, beautiful old cottages, a gentle beck winding its way through the village, and plenty of Yorkshire charm. It was one of those days with no real plan.

I've shared a mix of colour and black & white images from the day, each capturing a different side of this lovely market town.

Summer vibes in Helmsley. ☀️🏰

Blue skies, drifting clouds and long grasses, with Helmsley Castle standing proudly in the distance.

A leisurely afternoon with the camera, followed by a refreshing cold drink and an ice cream to round off a cracking summer's day.

It doesn't get much better than that!

If Yorkshire had to be judged by just one place...
Which would you choose?

Would it be somewhere iconic like Knaresborough, or would you send visitors somewhere a little less well known?

Knaresborough really is one of Yorkshire's gems. 📸

No matter how many times I visit, the view of the viaduct over the River Nidd never gets old. Every season and every change in the weather offers something different to photograph.

If you could spend a day in Knaresborough, what would you choose?

🚣 A boat on the river
☕ A drink by the waterside
🚶 A walk up to the castle
📷 Simply taking in the views

Hope you enjoy these shots as much as I enjoyed taking them! 📸📷

Better late than never, I suppose!

A few impressive trucks from the Tyne Tees Truck Gathering earlier in June.

A great little truck show with a really relaxed atmosphere, and it's going from strength to strength.

Tag away if you know any of the drivers or companies featured in the shots I got!
