We are never just one thing.
We're confident and vulnerable. Strong and soft. Serious and completely ridiculous.
And I think one of the things I love most about photographing people is finding all those different little parts of somebody.
Because when you stand in front of my camera, I'm not looking for one perfect expression or one version of you that photographs well.
I'm looking for you.
And you don't need to know how to pose. You don't need to know what to do with your hands. You don't even need to feel particularly confident about having your photograph taken.
That's not your job.
Mine is to make you feel comfortable enough that, somewhere along the way, you stop thinking quite so much about being photographed.
We talk. We laugh. I guide you when you need me to. And gradually, all those different bits of you start appearing.
The huge laugh.
The quiet confidence.
The softness.
The strength.
That's the bit I love.
Because I don't just want to create a beautiful photograph of what you look like.
I want to create photographs that somehow feel like you.
And thank you Rebecca Lee … for trusting me to capture all these different sides of you. ❤️
